It's ignorance

Read and learn modern technology....she must have entered a pirate website of jumia where she found it too cheap and rushed to buy.

And women can click any link you advertise on their phone.

They can click and type AMEN to anything

So you are this intelligent to petition everybody but too dumb to know that it is very risky to use bank account informations to make any payment online, have a different account that put small money every month for your atm withdrawal online payment etc, then your main savings account you deactivate the phone number in your account and also dont use ATM on the account too and you go to the bank when ever you want to check your account balance the old fashioned way, THAT WAY I SWEAR NOBODY CAN REMOVE 1 PENNY FROM YOUR ACCOUNT

My elder brother had a similar case.he had close to #4m in his access bank account before he left for UK in 2018. early this year he thought of checking the account via his mail and found out the account was empty, when contacted the bank he was told that someone has been using the Mobil number registered to the account to purchase recharge card.

The funny thing is even the bank and MTN refused to reveal the identify of the person.

Why the criminal silence from the bank and jumia? Why would jumia even allow such huge airtime purchases spree within few minutes? Why would GTBank initially hold the money and still go ahead to release it when their customer had already lodged complaint?

Too bad. Imagine the pain caused to the poor teacher, that might just have been all her savings that got wiped out in a blink.....

I had similar experience, my phone was stolen and just less than 4 hours they started lavishing my money....
I later blocked my account to prevent further debits on the account.

Following day, I approached my bank and they printed out my statement of account and the transaction that occurred was traced to paystack, till now, Zenith Bank hasn't done anything meaningful about it.

This country is a big mess, no security anywhere except God's mercy.

It's such a big shame

Eyah, that's why one has to be careful when doing transaction online, not all websites are secured from fraudsters.

Gt bank , is always having issues, of their customers money being taken like this, heard a friend complain of 50k deduction that he didn't authorize, it was later refunded, another woman I met said her 50k was also deducted n it wasn't refunded, I think people should keep off that bank, so the management can get sense , n do something about these fraudulent deductions. She should sue both companies, them no serious, when they see law suit them brain go reset.

I have never seen a country so Interested in people stealing money from foreigners more than those bleeding there citizens dry. You see GTB and Access their security is zero, tracing a recharge card is easy as long as you have the pin you can always locate the end user.

Neither GTB or Jumia will want to accept responsibility for the Tracee because it will give their customers a sense of insecurity.
However, this is going to make them more insecure if her bank can't protect and ensure recovery in this case

The bankers are thieves any time i see any banker i see armed robber in nice cloth.
They have full details about the transaction, they know the thief but they will frustrate the victim until she doesn't have strength purse the case again because most of the fraud are perpetrated by them or the agent outside

No alerts, no OTPs until few days later. The money was still not yet released to the online store as at the time she lodged the complaint. It was released after the complaint. Now, both the bank and jumia have become silent and not responding to enquiries. That's Nigerians for you.

I am into food production and packaging, duely registered with corporate affairs and Nafdac. I need 200k to expand my business. If you are in Lagos and interested to bring in 200k and get 30k return in one month. Then let's do this. It will last only for 3 months then you pull out or we renegotiate. I am ready to sign a contract prepared by a lawyer . Note it can be inform of loan or investment . But it last only for the period of 3 months. If interested call or chat me up with my number below/ my profile

If the business crumble nko? Na so I invest for garri making business up till today I no see 1 naira. If I call the guy he go tell me one thing one thing. I carry police go block am he write agreement as he go take pay each month na different story until I tire free the money.

Anybody wey want put money into Naija person business you are doing it at your own risk.

Truth be told almost everyone in this country has friends and family and relatives. If you go to your social contact you will raise the money at most from 20 of them.

For you not to rely on your social network but random people on the Internet tells me you have either burned your bridge with those close to you because of gbese or you are trying to cash out from total stranger.

Sorry if I am wrong but my opinion is based on my life experience.

Real or not, a nigger is a nigger - derogatory term used for a poverty-stricken, dirty, begging, stealing, lying, cheating, deadbeat-dad of a black man, who doesn't, and will never, have what it takes to pull himself out of dire poverty!

Since d woman is a gtb bank customer, why can't d customer care unit of d bank take over d issue and track down the fraudster in d interest of their customers?.Again, why can't bank introduce stiffer identity verification for online purchases which must include face recognition and finger print after otp before d transaction can go through?
Banks are not really beign fair to their customers.
And Nigerians must rise and demand dt banks must start fighting for their customers in case of loss.Any bank dt can do it,shld be closed down for others to take over .
Full responsibility shld be d watchword.
