Who is your candidate? You would have been reasonable if Peter Obi or Okorocha or Umahi was on the ballot but u ain't pushing anyone forth from your side.

A leprous man that would rather spill honey than safeguard it.
As we speak, neither Tinibu nor any fulani is on the ballot.

Peter Obi is my no. 1 choice, if he fails to get to the ballot I will vote for any reasonable Southerner but not Tinibu or any Fulani.

What I meant is that if its only Tinibu and a fulani person, I will sit at home.

Any Yoruba that is not Fashola currently is not worth it!

These people you are rooting for are even worst than the Fulani you will not vote for!

While Buhari was saying that he did not make these electoral promises, was it not Tinubu and Osibanjo that packaged it and sold it to the masseshuh

Especially Osibanjo, he entered buses, saying all sort of things, does he still use the bus nowhuh undecided

Have you heard Osibanjo condemn any killingshuh Same as Tinubuhuh Their ambition is simply more precious than lives!
Who is rooting for Tinubu or Osinbajo?
In fact, I am not rooting for the west as a region to produce the next president again after 8 and 8. All I am saying is do other regions in the South have candidates at the fore with a popular platform like APC or PDP.

If they do not have then I will rather have a Yoruba as my president than another Fulani in 2023.

We are not slaves.

In 2015, Yoruba exhibited treachery against the south. In 2021, they're exhibiting greed, so all the south will help them out. 2023 will either be an Igbo president or even Buhari can continue.

Yoruba backed Fulani in 2015 despite Igbo warning. Fulani turned around and started kicking Yoruba people out to Republic of Benin in continuation of a Jihad that Igbo officers stopped in 1966. Since Yoruba love Fulani so much that they so not mind going on exile for them, Igbo and the rest of the South will help Fulani achieve their dream of turning all Yoruba land to another Ilorin.

The futility of Yoruba imagination is their belief that treachery is sophistication. So the choice before Yoruba is between greed and concession. Only an Igbo president from southern unity will stop the impending exodus of Yoruba people. Back Igbo president and be safe or continue with your greed an go on exile. The choice is yours.

If I am in Nigeria in 2023, I'll definitely back a Fulani if there is no consensus for ALL IGBO aspirants from the south. Who will vote a Yoruba man in the south? Who will back them from the north? Lubbish.
Clown, Igbo was part of the 1966 govt you call Jihad, with president and Senate president being ibos, you got greedy and killed off your Fulani partners civilian and military, to take over everything. Fulani retaliated and civil war ensued as you donated more lives to satisfy your greed.

Since then you've partnered Fulani in 1979, 1983, June 12,1993, 2019.
Under Shagari, ibo men were VP and speaker at the same time. But you deeply envy Yoruba for having VP and Speaker at the same time calling it greed, what do you call what your leaders did under Shagari.
Was Ekwueme not hoping to become president after 8 years as VP if the 2nd republic had not failed?

You were never fighting any Jihad army, you were only playing your politics and looking out for your group best interest as you see fit. Quit the messianic complex, it's not real, you were saving nobody but yourselves.

Reminds me of wise King Solomon when trying to know who owns or deserves to keep the baby. The woman who wants the baby killed and the one who wants the baby alive.

I have seen and read here and other media outlets some comments like: "I would rather support Atiku instead of Tinubu", "if the Southwest are playing smart the North should contest in 2023", "Yorubas are too greedy" and so on....

I want to believe that this sentiment of voting in another Fulani in 2023 is limited to a minimum percentage of our population in the South. How would you vote another Fulani because you want to spite Tinubu or the Yoruba people and then face another 8 years of hardship? Think.

Economic downturn, worse Hdi, higher unemployment, nepotism, all round failure should make you have a logical rethink if you aren't blinded by hate. Or is this just a scare mongering strategy to deter the Southwest from presenting a candidate?

If so, where are your candidates from the East and South because pdp has had there convention and aspiring candidates have bared their ambition. Non from the East.

If you are hoping of contesting under APC then you are being unreasonable and hopelessly hopeful. Why? You have been in the PDP for so long yet they didn't consider you worthy enough to allow you contest under their platform. So why would the APC of yesterday trust you with the mandate? Secondly, you never laboured enmass (I repeat, enmass) to bring the APC to where it is today, or let me say your region is not a major shareholder in the party to be considered as strategic and so deserves compensation with the party ticket.

I am not saying I will support Tinubu or Osinbajo or any Yoruba candidate if they will be contesting against any Eastern or South South candidate in 2023, but I will definitely support a Yoruba candidate over another Fulani in 2023.

A lesser evil is manageable between two evils.
Over my dead body if are to choose only between a Tinubu Vs Atiku .Non of them abeg .
If we vote in Tinubu.. He might end up like Buhari ,who has made London his second home for his medical treatment. He is frail and not strong with the kind of problem that Nigeria is facing ..we need strong president with his full thinking faculty intact ..haba! . On the other hand , voting an Atiku, would enboldened the evil Fulanis' much more. This time around ,they will spit on our faces & tell us to do our worse, becos they have people backing them from above .Then the raping of our women & children will increase .They will continue to kill our farmers, and take possession of Thier crops & land for Thier cows to graze on and still ask us not to complain, nor seek any protective measures against them .
Since it a taboo for the Fulanis to rebuke or confront thier kins men or call them to order when they have erred , then I suggest we hold on to A southern president for now , since we are currently under the occupation of the backward northern rule . .. For God's sake, we have an Osibanjo, Femi Adeshina, Peter Obi, Moghalu and so many capable hands that credible , strong and have the thinking cap to lead this country . Why are you asking us to choose between the Devil and the red blue sea ? Tinubu Vs Atiku is like that . Both are bad choices for us . Nigeria is going nowhere with either of these two men in power .
I am surprised that a third force has still not been able to emerge & to bring in a new face that is worthy and credible to lead this great nation . Why must we be left to choose only between with two old hags ?

Do you mean Femi Adesina the Buhari trumpet? I prefer Moghalu amongst all but his platform is not popular so it's futile.

Because you want to spite the Yorubas you will unwittingly sell your descendants into timeless slavery? Think!

The Yorubas are much more open to negotiation than the Fulanis who are authoritative. They will listen to your plight and try to address it.

The Yorubas are much more diplomatic than the Fulanis who are forceful. They will not "treat you in the language you understand" like Buhari threatened.

They are much more civilized than the Fulanis whose representative in the person of Buhari is finding grazing route in the 21st century. They will introduce developmental policies that will move the country forward irrespective of region.

I believe they have much more tendency to follow the rule of law and address the default in federal character created by this nepotic government.

They match the Fulanis in being cunning and are much more intelligent than the Fulanis. They will deal with the Fulani stealthily.

Don't be emotional. Think, think, think about your unborn child. Think about your people.

You guys were ready to vote for him even if he presented NEPA Bill as certificate.

Maybe by 2031 we will now sit down and talk about Nigeria’s progress. But if we never learn our lesson, then the vicious cycle will continue.

Re: Would You Rather Vote Another Fulani? by ahaika23:
Op tries so well to keep his cool in response to replies, this opens a line of conversation and I like it.

I will speak for myself, as a Christian and southerner, let us be true to ourselves. We are divided along ethnic and religious lines clearly, the political divisions at some point intertwine that is why you have members of a political party voting for another party during elections so won’t be considering the political divide.

Truly, there was once a time that the Yorubas sold and preferred a nepa bill certificate holder to GEJ, throwing every caution to the wind. Make no mistake, this is not forgotten and the ijaws and entire southerners are still very bitter about it moreso given the full scale hardship spread across the people, it is a constant reminder.

Also, the igbos have shown a track record of hardwork, success and resilience, creating wealth from nothing, but strangely enough, they are the one tribe yet to lead the nation amongst other tribes yet. Then again, the Yorubas have been president not too long ago.

Every right thinking Nigerian with a conscience knows this truth that the igbos should lead the country, and among other things, save the disrepair that the Fulani leader has imparted in the nation. If you see this truth as unacceptable to you, then you are also a part of the problem we have.

There are igbos in APC, why are they only pushing Tinubu forward? Because the igbos there already know they can never be given the chance.

If I am faced with Tinubu and Atiku, assuming Atiku takes the ticket of PDP, in all honesty, I will emotionally wholeheartedly vote in Atiku. Because, Tinubu has no business being a president. His insistence on inflicting us the pain called Buhari is all the reason never to give him my vote. I have not talked of his kleptomaniac tendencies which necessitates his need for bullion vans.

If APC presents Femi Adesina and PDP presents Atiku, I will vote Femi without thinking twice. Clearly you can see I have nothing against a Yoruba who has a great track-record.
