Driving on Uber is peace of mind 90 percent of the time, compared to Bolt.

What do you mean by this?

Safety, income, surge, ease of getting rides. etc.

If this was an exam, you would get 100%

Lush100:

Dear madam,
This things are rational and normal.
The same way you drove a car for short distance and it overheated,
You left the car and went for another car.
Is like when your husband needs to drive you (have sex ) but (you overreact, nag and complain ) you are overheating and claim sex twice a month (2km) is enough.
Your husband will leave you and go and take another car (the maid).
As Dr Mapulanga advised, ensure regular servicing (sex) to avoid same occurrence in the future.

@gentlelife50, if this advice meet u well, u know what to do

Are there NO ENTRY ROAD- signs there? Lagos State Government has done a great job by mounting road signs in most part of the City.

This is bad!!! Àbí those bad cops and LASTMA guys done comot am...

According to the stupid police taskforce guy that took my car said it's people that removed it. Me I know say na lie him be they're the one that removed it else would I see the sign and still drive against the law? Hell no.

Let me try describe that place again, coming from afariogun street which needs you to charity bustop along the oworo-apapa Expr rd... Formally you can join the main oworo-apapa Expr rd when you come out from that charity bustop but now you can't unless you drive and climb the bride which leads you to DHL then you conti to isolo/mile2.

Mow this is where d pitfall is, if you're going to the airport or ajao estate, you have to go take Boladale to join the oworo-apapa Expr rd because if you are at charity bus stop you can't join tje Expr which takes you straight to the MMIA. Driving forward from that charity bustop which is on the service lane will take you to the slope just by the tail of the bridge to leads to DHL that slope links the MMIA Rd, it's a one way for people going towards the MMIA Rd from Oshodi on servuce lane. This slope is for those coming from either Oshodi/Anthony or Isholo/DHL going to afariogun, oshpdi, mafoluku anf all those areas

If you're coming from isolo your best route sunce the bridge at ladipo bustop that leads to MMIA Rd is still under construction after the tanker explosion, your best route is through Cway/Asiani/Osolo way/7&8 Bustop then the bridge and off you go.

I hope this help

Ah!!! Shey u no sabi this place ní...omo...this place is dreadful. I don dey submerged for this area sometime in June, funniest thing the rider promised to do transfer. Maybe tomorrow e go do transfer grin

I know there is always a pool at that place but because its leads down to the traffic light instead of going through the traffic to turn at the 2nd toll gate it the reason I just say I should risk it but next time I won't try it again for any reason.

Two months? What steps have you taken asides from registering yourself?

What city do you intend to work?

That's another option...when u descend d bridge just continue straight facing Oshodi on the service lane then do a U-turn at the next opening on ur right into d express and face mile2.

Or after descending that bridge u turn left at the next street , keep left and burst out under the new bridge on airport road.

But the roads inside that area are bad... Best is the first option

For newbies.

Herbert Macaulay way.

A. Traffic light at adekunle junction,Yaba. Coming from Clinic road,

Maintain your lane by the traffic light before adekunle police station.

Pitfall.

If you are going straight ahead. Don't be absent minded and stay on the extreme left.
The traffic light gives the "greenlight" at the same time to those turning left and those going ahead.

Stay ONLY on the extreme left if you are turning left. The MIB gisting innocently by their traffic cubicle are codedly watching out for this.
The middle lane is preferable, grin avoid the extreme right, some vio guys squeeze themselves on that junction sometimes.

B. Hughes Street junction.

Don't run the light for any reason. if you are coming from clinic road.

C. Higher college road - Herbert macualy way. No traffic signage unfortunately embarassed, but do this.

If you are coming from Ikorodu road, jibowu axis, heading to Herbert macuulay way, i.e, you are heading towards clinic road.

The road splits into 3 lanes
If you are going straight or turning left (to Harvey road, University road, Onike, iwaya) Avoid the lane on the extreme left. Maintain the middle lane.

Rule : Don't be absent minded, avoid the lane on the extreme left. You maintain this arrangement till you get to Sabo. /commercial avenue traffic junction. After you cross Sabo traffic junction, this enforcement ceases.

Lemme drop this here. My car inspection expired on 16th of this month. But I noticed my car was not blocked or removed from the platform. Deliberately i decided to keep working, wanting to know how many days grace period bolt gives. So yesterday, I received a Corporate request. On getting there, the man refused to enter my car, saying that the car on the app was not the one I brought to him. Immediately, he called the plate number, I realised it was my previous car. I tried to convince him that it was my last car. He sha canceled trip. Lo and behold, when i checked my app, my recent car has been removed, leaving only my last car that I have sold since April. I got a message from bolt later that I should take my car re-inspection. I was so glad that the man cancelled trip because if he had allowed me to pick him and later report the case to Bolt, it is straight permanent block.

So, guys watch out for this. If your inspection expires, you have between 8 to 9 days to do another inspection.

BTW, how long does it take bolt to approve inspection? My car inspection is under REVIEW since 12pm.

You sure about the 8days window to do another inspection? Mine will expire this week, but I plan to do reinspection next week.

This is to Mr BAZ001 and the other noice maker.

I decided to download Uber App to check my old profile.....over 5 years ago.

I use to be on a 4.7/8 rating then. Don't know how it got 4.3 smiley Maybe cos I've not driven on the platform for over 5 years

This works 95% all the time... @ the VIO part.
Most Lagos roads, they stay on the service lane and one has to be alert to notice them on time.

Their everyday spots....
1) Alaka

2) Ikorodu road linking 3MB/ oshodi( illupeju or what)

3)Ojodu (connecting the link road). This one u can see them from the flyover sef.
@ Ojodu/Berger, once u sight them from the highway, drive straight on and take ur next right (there's a big Nigerian flag on the road) turn under the bridge and come up, then take right and join Ojodu road to ur destination.

4)Ozumba mbadiwe, under falomo/akin adesola.

But maintaining left lane most times, will save u.

What do you mean by this?

Safety, income, surge, ease of getting rides. etc.

Safety is a naija issue currently, but to an extent, riders tend to perpetrate more crime on bolt than on Uber.
Uber also takes the issue of safety seriously, compared to Bolt. Uber is interested in the situation and would always want to hear your side of the story. They want to know a convenient time to put across a call to you, they show genuine interest most of the time.

Income on Uber with the "weekly ride target to get a reduced commission" helps a lot, as this improves your earnings and also motivates you to keep up the hustle.

Surge on Uber might not be as regular as on Bolt but when it comes, it's usually worth it, compared to Bolt that's pegged at 1.9 and calculation isn't transparent.
You can get a 2.4 multiplier on Uber and at the end of the trip, the breakdown is quite understandable.

Getting rides isn't as daunting as people make it sound. Riders are also usually well behaved. Chances of getting a toxic rider is slim. Rating is transparent and most riders know how to rate, being that the riders are more exposed and know how rating works, unlike some bolt riders that think 1star is the highest rating, thereby crashing a driver's rating, albeit unintentionally.

Etc... smiley
