The check engine was on before and the maintenance req was on. So I took it to my mechanic for service. After the service he called a guy that diagnosed it and the guy said they removed the catalyst but he later did something and thecheck engine and maintenance req wiped off Later when I reported here, I called the mechanic to ask him if it was p0420 that showed, the guy said he can't remember, except I pay again for it.

Who can help me diagnose?

If you had a scanner, it's something you can do yourself. All he did was, "erase the codes" . Nothing special. I have cleared "maintenance required" manually wtout scanner.
Check Chrisfix on YouTube.

Are your spark plugs ok.? They might need some cleaning, is there any leak in the exhaust pipes.

Is your check engine light on? If on, get it diagnosed and don't forget to run a data stream on the power train. Let's start from there?

My high mileage Camry threw a P0420 on me like 3 days ago, I noticed it was caused by low gas level, topped it and it disappeared on its own some hours later cool

Also, don't forget to post the scan results here for further suggestions grin

My man grin

about the fabrication...

Abeg bro is it normal for Honda civic 07 to display the engine light indefinitely?

that maintenance required light is lube service reminder that illuminates after 5000 miles. Once you service it, you can reset it to start the countdown afresh.

Anytime you diagnose your car always see and copy down the scan results yourself. You can buy an OBD2 Bluetooth dongle to scan yourself

Is your catalytic converter located under the car or under the hood close to the exhaust manifold? Hope you saw it yourself

I don't trust those Kareems

Low gas level cannot trigger p0420 code.

Yesterday and another 100 naira change for one churchy looking girl today. it’s better to let go of 100 naira than to get two 1*star and begin type epistle like blocked feli-Hoodlum.

The fact that
1. I can see my destination and
2. I can arrive & cancel in my house
Bolt is the best app for now

in my case it triggered it. I didn't erase the code intentionally to see the outcome, cos my car ran great. Do you know lean mixture can mimic P0420 triggers.

When my car just landed, dirty throttle body threw the P0420 code. Some other peeps would have panicked and started throwing parts around cool

Is there a feature that allows riders to end trip arbitrarily from their end on the Bolt app.?

If there is, it should be removed, cos it will be abused.

Once a rider ends the trip, you will be notified by Bolt app immediately.

It has happened to me once and I concluded the trip offline simply because I understood the reason the person ended the trip.

The girl requested the trip and they were 5 plus some items in the hoot. I refused to carry them all so she asked that I should carry 3 of them.

On our way, she ended the trip so she could request for another ride. I wonder why no other adult there could make the request.

Trip ended 600 and I pulled over immediately in the next filling station. The guy said that they got 2000 as maximum estimate. I had to continue because they had some items they were taking to the less privileged. So, I take that as my own contribution.

Always pay attention to your Bolt app when on a trip.

I noticed my car consumes more fuel. I figured it is not normal, so I went to my mechanic. After checking, he said they've removed the catalytic converter of the car and that's the reason for the excessive fuel consumption.

Where can I get one and for how much? He talked about fabrication at ladipo for 25 or 30k. Is this advisable or should I get another?

I need contributions pls
