All these parasites keep saying rubbish to justify their parasitism.

Imo State has uncountable number of oil blocks, has lots of oil companies drilling there since decades, and now has a refinery and a massive gas plant! All these are evidences of its commercial oil production!!

Can you name the oil companies or oil production activities going on in those weird states they smuggled into NDDC?
Biafrans and online wailing is like 5 & 6 grin

I'm glad Igbos have finally woken up, the era of playing "brother" and "good neighbor" to these ungrateful minorities who in return turn around and spite us at every turn has come to an end, the GEJ situation has taught us a very BIG lesson... now it's time to join the big boys party and the play the game the dirty way, so on this one, I wholeheartedly support the Aboki's especially now that Anambra has joined the NDDC... Imo state with its abundance of gas is about to recover the remaining oil wells that were usurped into Rivers state (at least Uzodinma is making us proud for once on that one), Abia state is already secured as an oil producing state and I know in no distant time Enugu will join soon since oyel has been discovered in commercial quantities there already ... when it's all said and done, the SE is finally waking up and strategically positioning itself in its rightful place among the league of the "BIG 3's"... we just need to get it right politically ahead of 2023 and we're set.

Lastly the only people I care about after the SE are the few Igbos in the South South who have proudly maintained their Igbo identity, then the Igbos in Kogi and Benue states who are now raising enough media attention to the existence of their profound Igboness.
OP.
You want my opinion on this thread.
This comment just about covers it.

Thank you.

By virtue of geography and oil production, Anambra 100% merits its position on the board of NDDC, but Borno, Lagos, Bauchi or Gombe shocked shocked shocked

They should simply change the name from NDDC to wazobia since it's now a national heritage for every region grin grin
What makes you think Anambra is qualify and not Lagos? What exactly is different between Bayelsa and Lagos geography set-up.

I'm a strong believer that Ndiigbo must stop playing the politics of the Minorities and start playing the Politics of the majority.

If the Hausa-Fulani and Yorubas decide that Niger Delta oil should "rightfully" belong to all Nigerians, since we are all Nigerians.
Ndiigbo should be wise enough to go with the majority and ignore the Minorities. If the Minorities feel shortchanged they can pick up arms against NIGERIA and feel the wrath of the country like Ndiigbo once did, if they can't do that, then they should all relax and enjoy one Naijeriya we all fought for. Chikina.

We should not be the ones bringing out evil policies against the Minorities, but we should for no reason try to stand with them, as they have nothing really strategic to offer us in return, we should back the other two majority and enjoy the one NIGERIA they all fought for, while it lasts.

This is my take on the NDDC brouhaha.
We must learn to start playing ruthless, non emotionally flinching, interest based politics.

I had earlier made a post on this in the past:https://www.nairaland.com/6786253/vat-brouhaha-se-should-assume

I was happy to see how SE played the VAT politics, now I want us to show same pragmatism in this current issue.
I don't want to see SE persons writing stupid emotional , sentimental and sanctimonious articles against this current Yoruba/Northern Agenda on NDDC.
I want us to play the neutral game, not offering any support to SS or the North/SW. We should sit it out, and once the majority start winning, we rush in and close ranks with them and cash in.
This is how we should play our politics.

You are not far from the truth because after the admission of these new states, the Northerners will become a significant force in the commission.

But if look at the bright side of this, I believe Nigeria is trying to discard Ijaw because once the bill is passed, Ndigbo become the unchallenged majority in the commission and the Hausa-Fulani becoming the Second, then Ijaw and Ibibio sharing the fifth position

If you ask yourself, what will change,
Well, firstly the dynamics of misinterpreting Niger Delta as an Ethnic group will be long gone. Not because the Northerners will object being called Niger Deltans, Infact they will be the only ones championing it after the bill but the Southerners won't like to share the same identity as the Northerners. In summary, everybody will find his square root.

The second thing that will change is the dynamics of power in the commission. Last few months, we saw Ijaw people attacking the headquarters on some entitled motives. Well, that is long gone because after the Bill is passed, Ijaw automatically becomes the fourth largest single ethnicity in the commission after Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa and Ibibio.

Irrespective of the wrong addition of the Northerners into the commission, I don't see much damage on my own side because we are already at the wall, anything thrown at us finds its way in becoming a bonus.
The new commission will be like a mini Nigeria in politics. Ijaw and Yoruba will most likely ally with the new Northerners, with the Northerners taking the leading role in the alliance while Ndigbo will be the opposition supported by the other Southerners (Ibibio, Efik, Kalabari, Okirika and most likely Igala from Kogi)
In all, Ndigbo will enjoy good positions and most likely the leading roles in the commission as the Majority and the new Northerners will maintain juicy positions if they don't make it to the leading role.

Take it this way, the new NDDC will be a Nigeria where Ndigbo are the majority
Your mumu no tell u say Okrika and Kalabari are Ijaws.
I'm from Buguma Kalabari-Ijaw and I'm full blooded Ijaw.

Make una busy dey fight over who join Nddc or not.
We Ijaws will destroy all pipelines in Ijaw Republic territories.
We are already fully arranging on that.
Because we are of the Ijaw Republic.
Then una go fit take una political Nddc to una different countries.
Ijaw alone produces over 90 percent of all Nigeria crude oil, and all we get in return is marginalization and Balkanization into more than six States when all Ijaws are together and share perfect boundaries with each other.
We've already given documents on Ijaw Republic to even British leaders.
And we are fully preparing our forces to stop all pipelines leaving the Ijaw Republic territories.
God bless the Ijaw Republic.
God bless my hero General Ditari.

Have we all gone mad in Nigeria?

Can someone explain to me the madness of adding Borno, Gombe, Lagos and Bauchi as Niger Delta states?

What business does these states have with NDDC?

Does any of these so-called states drill up to 10 litres of crude oil talk more of commercial quantities?

Why smuggle these states into NDDC and claim they're producing crude oil based on propaganda and media reports? Which companies are drilling the crude oil there, is it Shell, Chevron, Seplat, Mobil? Can they name them?

Let's even assume they have started drilling crude oil in those places, then what brand of foolishness will make someone call Borno, Lagos, Bauchi or Gombe Niger Delta states? Must they be under NDDC?

If truly they've started producing oil in commercial quantities (which we all know to be false) why not create Chad Basin Development Commission, CBDC for Borno, Gombe and Bauchi? Why not create Dahomey Basin Development Commission, DBDC for Lagos?

Watch how they would start bringing in Adamu, Musa and Salaudeen into NDDC and even making them chairman of the commission!

Watch how they would start executing projects in those places even more than the actual oil producing states!

You see why Igbos are the smartest Nigerians while others would rather keep decieving themselves because they're afraid to stand on their own.

Shame on all the so-called Niger Deltans who continue to watch while their heritage is abused and used for others while they languish in poverty and pollution!

Woe to all of you gutless cowards!!!
Why are you disturbing yourself. Let them fight their fight joor.
By the time North finish their plan. Their eye will open with Usman as new NDDC chairman.

I heard the deputy senate president saying NDDC is a regional developmental commission as if the power that is pushing for the bill don't know.

Am glad SOUTH EAST is distancing itself from SOUTH SOUTH fight. We ought to have learnt a lot by now

Do you even have any option? Slaves don't complain, they obey their masters regardless of how they feel.

I pity the minorities because they don't even understand what is going on. The federal government has realized that whatever they do in Niger Delta, the minorities there won't do anything. They're even afraid of break up because they can't rise above primitivity and forge a common cause.

Nigeria will eventually pacify Igbos and you guys will become orphans going forward, with no voice. They're gradually neutralizing your claim to fame by shouting "our oyel, our oyel". With NDDC now Wazobia, including states from South, North, East and West and Imo State becoming a major oil state with return of oil wells from Rivers State.

You thought you were doing Igbos, but you were only doing yourselves. We will see who laughs last!

It is a classic case of "see-finish". They have finally realized that nothing they do to these minorities will ever rile them again. Believe me, even if the 13% derivations is removed today, nothing will happen!

They have been totally emasculated and they're now more or less like slaves. The Fulanis and Igbos must reach a pact now and it will be game over!

I have studied this country and I have seen that only Igbos and Fulanis can truly break it apart, the others lack the will and cohesiveness to pose a sustained challenge.

Igbos and Fulanis should deescalate tensions between themselves, return all oil wells ceded to Rivers back to Imo and Abia States then dredge any channel to ensure there is a port in Igboland and I bet you Nigeria will never divide again!

Without Igbos constantly raising alarm with a new "see-no-evill" worldview, no matter what happens in other places, believe me Nigeria will stabilize. Fulanis and Igbos need to close ranks now.
