@Liftkid
so we wey dey east no dey drive again ?

@me
Bro I live in Lagos but I work in Aba. It's terrible. Short distance of 5 minutes drive can take you one hour. Today I was coming from osusu road to faults road, my Highlander bumper has gone.

This is the real issue of Igbo land that IPOB should be chasing. The politicians have succeeded in making an average igboman to think that all his problems are buhari and Nigeria. Nobody is asking questions of how they have plundered Igbo resources.

The problem of Igbo land is igboman. It will be worse if there is anything like Biafra.

This is the kind of content I luv to read on Nairaland from the Easterners. Call out your politicians. They say charity begins at home not from Lagos or Kano. Call out your politicians that have further degraded your region and which in turn birthed the monstrous and terrorist IPOB.
Man, you are talking absolute trash. Southeasterners have always called out their politicians as they call out other politicians. Is there any tribe that has beaten up one of their politicians before as Igbos in Germany beat up Ekweremmadu? It's just that you guys are trained to have slave mindset from birth. That's why, if an Igbo criticizes Tinubu or Buhari, you see it as if they are attacking your tribe. Continue to worship your oppressors and allow them to keep oppressing you just to spite Igbos.

If you live in the East currently u will agree with me our people are really going through hell. The effect of IPOB and security forces violence over the past few months has left Easterners in a pit of suffering.

A great example is in Anambra state,currently the only road leading to other towns from the state capital which houses the security parastatals like State CID,Immigration,Police Quarters is currently blocked because of fear of the rampaging unknown gunmen. This has forced all commercial buses and private vehicles to take another route in which the alternative roads are nothing to write home about. These routes located in Amawbia already have their roads depleting; some already turning into small gullies. It will take the 2022 rainfall to further deepen the gullies.

Commercial drivers and their passengers who have to bear the pains of driving through these alternate bad roads have never had good things to say about the state of the roads in the capital.

Transport fares also didn’t fail to shoot by 200%. A journey which usually takes 5mins now take 30mins. A journey of 5mins which was usually charged for 50 naira earlier this year has gone so high as 150 naira.

The people are not finding it funny on these bad roads. And worse is that the traffic gridlock on these alternate bad routes is on another level.

Now that the Anambra elections are over,We call on the Commissioner of Police of Anambra state and the govt to please open the major road which accommodates commercial vehicles and passengers,so as to ease the suffering of the people or better still fix the alternative routes.

IPOB should also get sense by now. South Easterners are suffering. And if you’re planning on coming home this December,it is better you remain wherever you are because things ain’t so rosy down here. No roads,traffic gridlock everywhere,road blocks by Security forces.
Your honest to an extent but there is more of exaggerations, I live in Awka , Amawbia precisely .

I now understand how inhabitant the media made borno to look like.

Because it is a crime under Nigerian laws.....last time i checked it was Azikwe that insisted on it. Bro you see why history is never taught in schools. Let me take you down memory lane. The british gave the terms for independence for Nigeria that the borders of colonial Nigeria remain intact and that it must not be redrawn in anyway. Zik in a bid to get independence proposed the non-secession clause. Awo and Sardauna didn't want it. But ask yourself if it was a majority voting system in the conference how come only Zik over ruled Awo and Sardauna? Bros this lies against Zik has persisted for too long and the records need to be set straight. it was the british that ensured no seccession and not Zik.

There was no vote on the seccession clause...there was a debate going back and forth until the colonial government intervened and sided with Azikwe....if Azikwe has alligned with others will the british not have met with opposition if they wanted to oppose the seccession clause?....Azikwe vehemently opposed the idea and since it was in the interest of the british to have a one united Nigeria they sided with him

I hope so. The reps of Amawbia are really trying hard for that town. A town that looks more like the state capital than the original state capital. We hope they come through for us.

You even went as far as advising diasporas and others not to return for Xmas, and you claimed your from Anambra and have well being of the Easterners at heart but your post says others wise.

IPOB foot soldiers are mostly Abia people. Government failure in Abia state made almost 90% of youths in that state to join IPOB. Tell your governor to provide good governance because that's the bane of Abia state.

Like i said you need to read about the proceeding of the Lancaster conference meetings on independence. Zik knew that it was a no brainer including secession because the British feared the entrance of communism into West Africa and as such it was going to backfire against us if we insisted on secession. Sardauna wanted secession because he feared a Nigeria where the north was second fiddle because they were educationally disadvantaged, so that the north can exit at will if conditions do not favor them.
That is why i said you need to read in depth the minutes of the Lancaster meeting, so you see the patsty the British sold to us. That is why the north dread a united igbo front because that is the only tribe in the South that can really confront them if they want to. That is why in hindsight Buhari and the Northern political elite want to crush IPOB at all means even using False Flag Operations to make IPOB be a terrorist organization, not because they cannot roll out full military force to crush them, but because IPOB represents what they fear the most a united Igbo front that can inspire agitation in the south to challenge them. The South west(Yoruba) are very easy to tame because of Islam in the west, so they are not really a problem to the Northern Elite.
