Some will not even make it alive to the day of freedom.
While some will be wrongfully convicted.

I wish there could be some kind of compensation for cases like this.
I mean how can someone be locked up for 8 horrible years when he's supposed to have moved his life from G to P?

There was a similar case like this in the US the man sued the govt and won he was later payed compensation that runs into millions of dollars.

Go to America and you will see how many have been and are incarcerated for many years until DNA and other PI investigates their case and hence were set free, some have been incarcerated for over 20-years.
