Just to clarify: after getting denied a visa for last semester, to apply for another one in a new semester, I have to fill out a new ds-160 right? Then I have to include the information in the new i20, right?

That’s it Fam…. It has your appointment date on it, only if you want the embassy to address u in another way.

I exhausted my EA options and so I do not have the EA Tab displaying on my CGI profile anymore. I guess I have to cancel the previous appointment (Jan 2022) since it's too late for me. I have paid another MRV Fee, and I would like to proceed without making any further mistakes. Could anyone kindly guide me on how to replace the old MRV receipt number and replace it with a new appointment so I can apply for EA and the surge dates? I am a first time applicant and have not attended the interview before.

Kindly try to do that, it surely will strengthen your application. In the meantime, keep applying for any available opportunities. I have seen people get funding even without any publication. Another nugget is, try to always ask any program you are interested in for an application fee waiver. That will save you some cash and will surely amplify the number of schools you get to apply to.

I think all you need to do will be to update your profile on your cgi portal. Or click start new application. Just check by the left side after you log in.

Okay. Cancel the current appointment and your page will automatically refresh. You will see the New application button, fill the necessary data correctly till you get to appointment. You can decide to pick any date available or leave it.
Proceed to sending your ds-160 page, sevis fee,i 20, data page and gtb visa fee to the provided emails for Surge dates.

Please I submitted and the below picture is part of what the automated message sent to me, please should I be worried? I used US F1 VISA APPOINTMENT as my subject?

That means u didn't finish the Ds160 registration cuz you can't submit it to the site without picture so go back and do that
