Good morning Nairalanders,
Please I have my interview coming up in December.
I deferred my admission and I'm expecting a new I-20, but, as I went to my visa appointment page this morning, I didn't see the link where I can update my DS160 Confirmation number. Could this be as a result of the fact that I rescheduled my appointment? I need to fill a new ds160 form but I'm not seeing where I can update the number.
Please help me!!!

Someone please respond...I have two days left on this Emergency appointment rescheduling according to the email I got yestday and till now...all i'm seeing on my CGI portal is "There are currently no appointments available"

What do I do? Should I still keep checking till the last day?

Guys, I have just today on my the approval I got for my EA to reschedule appointment and all I can still see on my CGI portal as at this morning is "There are currently no dates available"

I have called them at the embassy yestday ,the Indian guy told me that since I can still see "your emergency request have been approved" on my portal, that I should ignore the deadline. But I feel by now, the dates to reschedule should have popped up, but it's not there.

What do are my options guys? Will I get a date?

Has anyone actually gotten visa recently after being interviewed by the Asian Dude? People are really complaining recently about him.

I guess he only gives preference to those who have travelled out to major developed countries before.

Are you booking for an interview before the I-20 arrives or will you wait for the I-20 first? Congrats on the additional funding.
Oluh:

Yes thanks! I’m actually to send my financial statement together with my passport for my is-20 to be sent. It’s actually so messed up because my passport expired and it might be up to a week before I get a new one because of NIN issues. I hope I meet up on time. Is-20 takes more than one week to be delivered. That scares me too.

Me: Good morning, how are you today?
V.O: I'm fine, please pass me your documents
V.O: lifts up my passport and types in her computer and then says “your parents applied with you”
Me: No, I applied alone
V.O: repeats the same thing
Me: I realized what she meant and I responded “Yes, my mum, my siblings and I applied for the B1/B2 in 2016 but we were denied except my mum”
V.O: Where is your mum?
Me: She's in Nigeria
V.O: types for a while and asks me “What's your mum's name”
Me: I told her.
V.O: Why are you going to a community college or for an associate's degree?
Me: I believe it's the degree I need now, it'll help me fulfil all prerequisite courses to be admitted into the nursing program which I intend to do a dual enrollment with University of Maryland.
V.O: What are the prerequisite courses
Me: Biology, Chemistry and Physiology
V.O: Why do you want to study Nursing
Me: Nursing is a career path that aligns with me and things that I'm passionate about and I know I'll do great.
V.O: Who'll be sponsoring you?
Me: My Uncle
V.O: Why is your Uncle sponsoring you
Me: He supports my dreams and would like to see me go out there learn and come home to make a change
V.O: That sounds rehearsal (she had me here lol)
Me: Oh no not at all.
V.O: types for the longest while and then asks how many schools did you apply to
Me: 4 and I got accepted into 3 of them
V.O: Why didn't you get accepted into the last one
Me: I didn't meet the schools requirements.
V.O: What secondary school did you finish from
Me: Called the name of my school
V.O: Oh it's a good school
Me: Yes (hoping it'll help )
V.O: Why is the money this much? (She was wondering why the SOA had 344k when I only needed 26k)
I was thinking if I should tell her that it's his company account
Me: That's the money there is in his account.
V.O: Okay, you have family in Maryland
Me: no.
V.O: What of your brothers
Me: they are here in school
V.O : So you do not have any family members in the US
Me: Yes
V.O: Your visa has been approved and all that.

I had packed a whole file of supporting documents but I didn't have to use any one and it can only be God.
I think the V.O was majorly looking at how truthful one is because while I was on the line a few people were approved and some weren't and from listening to their conversation, you'd hear were they twisted the thing and you'd know when it became messy.

Thank you for everyone who has posted their transcripts here, I've learnt a lot here, I pray that everyone would achieve success in their pursuit.

Good afternoon everyone
Kindly help me out.
If they're asking for a bank statement of let's say $30k does it mean they available balance has to be $30k or it's the inflow into the Acc that should be $30k

Kindly help me out
