Wife: Good morning.
VO: Good morning. Are you family?
Wife: Yes.
VO: What is your relationship with each other?
Wife: This is my husband, and my daughter.
VO. OK, Nice. How long have you been married?
Wife: 12 years
VO: 4 years?
Me: 12 years.
VO. OK. 12.....Then type for a while.
VO: (While he's looking at his screen), Have you been to the US before?
Wife: Yes, 4 times and 3 times with daughter.
VO: When was the last time you traveled to the US?
Wife: 2018.
VO: What were you doing in the US the last time you traveled?
Wife: it was during Xmas and New year holidays so my daughter and I traveled to several states on road trips and also to Disney.
VO: Facing me....... Have you applied for the US visa lottery before?
Me: No...( Was shocked)
VO: OK... typing...then paused... Asked me again. Are you sure you didn't?
Me: I can't remember...Not sure.
VO: OK... it's sometimes in 2010. Maybe you can remember.
Me: umm...I think Yes, (Wife frowned at me) and then I quickly said I really can't remember.
VO: smiling...it's OK if you've applied for the US visa lottery, it is legal to apply, I just want to be sure what to edit on your application.
Me: Confused...
VO: What do you do?
Me: I'm an entrepreneur, I own a retail company into sales of EMS equipment, I also have an event business and transportation business.
VO: Facing both of us...Apart from the US, Have you traveled elsewhere before?
Me: Yes, I traveled with my family to Italy, France, Norway, Germany, Turkey, Egypt, And I've traveled alone to Dubai and lots of beautiful African countries. My wife and daughter have been to the UK and South Africa too.
VO: Were these travels within 5 years?
Me: Yes.
VO: Is this the whole family?
Me: Yes
VO: Facing daughter...How old are you?
Daughter: 14.
VO: Made a joke about looking so young for 14 years. Then started typing for a very long time. Nodding his head while typing....and later said...everything now looks good, brought out the white paper, pick up your visa at this location.....it would be ready in a week.

We all said thanks.

We prepared with about 40 questions, we do practice by asking ourselves likely interview questions every weekend for a month ahead of our interview date. Be well prepared, unexpected questions can be asked too. The other VO @Korean drilled a lady with a year old baby, for a very long time with so many questions but she was fully prepared too. We left her there and I hope she gets approved. Good luck to everyone too.

Hello, gurus in the house, please i would like to ask some questions;

For someone who is going to attend a month of academic training together with the conference on a B1/B2 visit visa, is it compulsory or advisable that the host includes a letter to show the embassy that my insurance is covered during my stay? Although they will cover my accommodation and local transport. Please i will appreciate anyone who can assist with other necessary information that will enhance my visa interview.

Thank you in anticipation!

Travel down…it’s worth it. I just came for mine and it was successful . Also a student in the Uk. Take along your RP and you are good to go.
what do you think of someone who lives in Dubai and works in a company with a fairly good pay applying from Dubai instead of coming to Nigeria

To Whom It May Concern

This letter serves as n invitation to the USA for a nairalander Dammyzeal007 who requested it with so much confidence.
I am obliged to respond as he seems desperate to japa.
Do not worry about interviewing him, i will be personally responsible for his going back to naija.
Please let this one go, naija has frustrated him too much.

Thanks

Clarify what you mean by academic training
Why are you trying to get insurance?
Is the host the academic/conference organizers or your acquaintance?
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Abdoor44: 3:35pm On Nov 19, 2021
It's academic training and conference, The host is an institution. Im just asking if the insurance is needed or not in my documentation for the visa since i will be spending like one month. I will also appreciate any important information that could enhance my visa application.

Also, as an international student who has a business back home and still getting income from the business while studying abroad. Can i include the business in DS 160 as my primary occupation or use student as my primary occupation? I am traveling on self-sponsorship but my accommodation, food, and local expense will be covered by the host institution, i will only pay for my return ticket.

Thank you in anticipation!

Trainings and conferences are covered with B1/B2. Non-degree awarding programs.
I don't think there is any place for insurance in your visa application. Maybe your flight or organisers end, but I don't recall the embassy requiring insurance.
You can list being an international student and business owner in your DS-160.
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Abdoor44: 7:23pm On Nov 19, 2021
Boss, thank you for your reply. Please under where can i include that im a student and still a business owner. I had also included my previous job experiences in the box, i only have two spaces provided in the DS-160 form to do that. Can i remove one of my previous job experiences and add my business information back home. Also, When filling my DS-160 form, there is nowhere to include additional information about my host. I Intend to state there that they will take care of my accommodation. Please what do you advise me to do here please. Thank you

the visiting visa (B1/B2) is valid for 2 years. for each visit you are stamped in for 6 months(that's the number of days you are allowed to stay)

Remove previous work experience. Just current income sources you have. Business and any other.

There is a place for where are you staying in the US, use that for the host. You can verbally inform the VO you are sponsoring yourself amd your host is also willing to provide a place to stay at the interview.

Add or estimate what you earn from all your income sources for a month and put the figure in Naira.

Hello gurus,

I make some changes to my DS160 form. my question is, during my interview, should i go with the old and new DS160 forms? Is it advisable to tell the visa officer about the updated DS160 form during my interview or i should just handle the new form and wait until im asked about the new update on my form? Thank you, guys.

Even when i traveled by air, the border security didn't stamp my passport, i asked him why he told me is because i have a Schengen valid visa. I have also included those travel histories in my DS160 application form. Please what's your view about this?

Thank you, guys
