It’s funny cos you stay in Nigeria and from your posts in other forums I can tell you haven’t stepped out of Nigeria before.

You need to be schooled very well about life and how it doesn’t revolve around your low level imagination. I see very well that you can’t even comprehend what is being said in this forum and you get very sensitive to other peoples opinion.

Grow up!!!
And you that has stepped out from Nigeria, what is your impact? What you know to do is to discourage people, and talk as if you are God!

Are you the first person that will traveled outside Nigeria? Or what are you saying...

And you talk about low level imagination, what do you know?

I've sensed that you are rude. You need to learn how to talk with respect to people. Am not bothered with people's opinion. But am bothered with you DISCOURAGING people here.

Your opinion my foot!

You should grow up!

Hey fellow country people!

I landed in Sweden some months back and the journey so far has been awesome.

Listen guys, no matter the narrative...... Everyone have the privilege to write his/her stories.
People fails, people succeed...... The choice is yours.
Swedish study permit still the easiest to scale through, just do the right thing and you would have your application approved.

We move .......

[quote author=Hebsyn post=107735101]Asians will encourage one another but Africans will always see the bad side and discourage their brothers.

If you are looking for a perfect place to travel to, then that would happen in your next life.

Don't get discouraged.

Don't be afraid.

Nice one, best comment I've read in a while... I don't know why some chose to dwell on negative or always not see side of some situation, two people can never the same experience and where others are failing some or few are really making it big there...... With your kind, I already know that you will excel anywhere you find yourself...

As for people experiencing hardship abroad, please they should come back home so that other serious people can go,this visa of a thing is quota, stop wasting our country quota by wallowing in regrets abroad..

You are not a weak man

Not exactly true. Approval rate is decreasing every year for applicants from Nigeria. Easiest is UK and AR has been stable

Hi, please I just paid for application on universityadmission.se, I don't know what else to do.

How will my school send electronic transcript?

area74:
We thought that we had finally gotten an updated thread about Swedish admissions and student visa until the the OP was involved in copy right controversy that led to the thread being deleted.

In the hope to keep the journey alive, admission decisions have been released today 9th April, 2021 and our people can share their experiences here.

As for me, I received admission to my first ranked school, Umea University MSc in Accounting while other choices were automatically deleted.

Clean Clean relax nothing to be worried about.
This case officer didn't state his request clear but he/she was just emphasizing on you contacting the embassy.

First to do, send an email to the embassy @ migration.abuja@gov.se

Secondly, stay calm before responding to this request. You can DM me, let's reason it. Don't rush
You guys should please explain how you went about this problem and what exactly you typed in the request box for people who might face this in thefuture to learn.

Don't bother yourself if you have submitted the documents and paid the fees. With respect to your transcript, your previously attended university will scan, upload and send it electronically to University Admissions. Upon receipt, it will reflect on your account including the date University Admissions received it.

Hey People,
When you enter Stockholm for the first time and wish to ride the train, one way ticket is 38Kr (expires after about 1hr 15 mins).
When you get to the station, the man at the booth/office at the point (where travelers scan their train cards and phones to automatically access the small gates) will sell the ticket and open the door for you. If you have an activated Swedish bank debit card, it will give you access on flashing it on the scanner (the 38Kr will be withdrawn from the account immediately).

Don't be shy to ask questions as many times as possible, Swedes in Stockholm are friendly.

Then, if you have been in Stockholm for few days (at least one day), and you don't wish to be asking plenty questions, or keep running around T-centralen (something like about 6 storey buildings into the ground) like me few days/weeks after I came, then heed to this.

When you get to the central station (ensure you know the class of train you're taking to your destination), keep look at the head of every gateway (leading to stairs/escalators) and you'll see the name of the class of train written. Just follow the arrow by the name of the train (with destinations also listed in most cases) each time you exit a stair/escalator. When you get to where to wait, you'll know. Such names as Tunelbanna (metro) or pendantag (underground train) are classes of train. There is also a color code attached to each line your contact should inform you). The one that takes you to Stockholm university (Universitet) is Tunnelbanna, Redline, Morby Centrum (the destination). Just jump in and be careful to hear when Universitet (called univasitiyete) is called, in fact, it is the 4th station from T-centralen.

You must come here o! I don see am finish.

Hello everyone , please I’m in the process of starting my application in Sweden for MSC global health in university of Gothenburg, Uppsala university , karolinska and others since we can choose 4 programmes. I’ve read this thread thoroughly and I like to pick a thing or two from peoples experience and would love to know if Sweden is the best place to study global or public health ? Then please I need someone to guide me on how to apply for both the admission and the scholarship so I can get it this time. I’ll appreciate any help I can get ASAP as the admission deadline is coming close.
Then any other thing I need to know , please tell me so I can plan better ahead of time .

Please if you have gotten their scholarship before, you can help guide me ... thanks guys

What are my chances of getting a job after my MSc global health in Sweden ?
Or should I look for other better countries?? If yes then which ones please??

What benefits do I stand to gain when I study global health in Sweden?
Re: Swedish Admissions And Student Visa by Mobil567: 9:35am On Dec 08, 2021
How do you want to work in a job that 100% requires being proficient in Swedish? Can you rap in Swedish? I suppose not.

You better focus on uk that is in need of health workers. I can only speak for uk because my friends there that studied health related programs have all gotten jobs. One even got a job with Pfizer.

So you can research on other countries.

If you get SI scholarship, feel free to take the opportunity. From sweden you can move to other places. But if you’re coming here to pay millions with the hope of finding a job in that area without speaking Swedish, sorry. Except you just want to do menial jobs to get work permit.

The rules for work permit is even about to change. Things won’t be that easy anymore.

Yeah wages are considerably good in Sweden but we pay massive tax. Sweden got a low Gini index with most of the economy being “logom”. A country that 99.1% of its monetary value happens to be controlled by the blond hair and blue eyes people. In the Uk the market is big and people can boost of equal opportunities both professional and unprofessional.

Although this is the case, living in Sweden is good if you grasps the language and network well with the right people which might take you 10years to achieve, while this is not the case in the UK.

Sweden is a welfare state which practically means that everything you are doing is controlled by the system, your tax and mortgage is done by the state. In the United Kingdom is just a different thing as it’s a capitalist with slight touch of welfare, you don’t need a fast contract to get a car lease or a mortgage, which in my opinion is a great way to get moving in the system.

In Sweden there is so much problems with integration and immigrants are massively unemployed and the reasons can be inability to speak Swedish and most times systematic racism and in the Uk,diversity lights up the nation.
Although there is racism everywhere but you have more better opportunities in the Uk than Sweden.

How many African immigrants have you met working in co-operate sectors in Sweden?
I’m sure you can count them in numbers.

If you not a hardcore engineering or IT student just leave Sweden because your chances getting in the labor market is slim.

I have lived in both countries as well. I would say that accommodation and food is cheap in Uk depending on your own standard while in Sweden accommodation is considered cheap due to the housing standards and getting accommodation is such a work especially if you don’t have a permanent residence as you have to be on the cue for years to get accommodation. Living in Sweden generally is far expensive than United Kingdom as most of the food is imported.
Hello,

I followed this thread from the beginning to this page.

Thanks for your selfless input and contributions.

I want to ask, do a graphics designer, copywriter or video editor stand a chance to get freelancing jobs in Sweden?

I sometimes see remote job posts from Sweden on LinkedIn for technical copywriters and all. So I'd like to know if I stand a chance to get a good job over there while schooling.

I plan to apply for the ongoing autumn masters application and maybe apply for the scholarship.

If possible please drop your email let me send you a PM.

Thank you.

Hello guys, please If someone is going for a 3 year BSC programme and is self funded. We are required to pay for one semester, do we need to show the remaining 2 and half year semester tuition fee in our bank account alongside funds for living expenses when applying for a resident card. Or we are only required to show funds for living expenses?
Re: Swedish Admissions And Student Visa by Mobil567: 10:49am On Dec 12, 2021
