Good morning, I hope you are all having a wonderful Monieday already.

This should be short and straightforward.

We have been trying to get to reactivate my grandpa’s banking mode since his exit, we learnt it’s not possible. We met with the bank manager he was making use of, the man said there’s nothing we can do about it…. omo.

Why is that so?, What happened to the next of kin, what will happen to the money from the family business?

kindly make it make sense, is there a way we can go about it?

Thank you for your contributions, I’d be reading.

Have a wonderful week ahead.

There must be a solution. Does the bank want to keep the money that is not theirs? Probably get a lawyer and start from there.

You can’t REACTIVATE the account of a dead person. In what capacity are they reactivating it?

You can only claim the funds in that account and being the NOK has nothing to do with this.

Please go through THIS THREAD for more information. Subsequently the account would be run as an ESTATE account, not an individual account.

I fault the manager for not educating you. However, your request is impossible as it is.

But I thought after having access, and clearing the funds, then the account is subsequently closed?

If they want it closed, then it would be closed. It is up to them.

If the account is his personal account there are documents that you will have to provide that will allow you access the funds and you can close it.

If the account is his corporate account there are documents that you will need to submit through a lawyer to CAC that will allow you continue to run the business and the account.

There are too many fraud going on in the banks with accounts like this. There are too many poorly trained workers in the banks these days.
