This is good news tho most times
Means they will contact you soon
MadameW:
Wow, just imagine.
I called them at midnight concerning my husband's application. I mentioned that 15 days had elapsed and all she told me was that a decision has been made and he'll be contacted soon for his passport.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Demotintin: 8:31am On Nov 24, 2021
Please can someone work me through how to make this call. What numbers to call, is it a paid call. or I just need to have sufficient call credit on my phone. Kindly explain to me, as I have tried to call the numbers on UKvi but they were not connecting.
Tx.

Yea true
What is quite annoying about this is
Priority still get decision fast so means they can answer ours they just choose not to
gistbite:
I'm so sorry about that. Let's see what will happen in the next two days.

These guys just messed up my travel plan. I did biometrics on 13 Oct. Today is 31st working day.

My departure flight is this Sunday.

Don't know what to do now sef.
I'm really sorry. I really pray you can still make it.
If not reschedule your flight.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by gistbite(f): 8:39am On Nov 24, 2021
My only consolation in this delay is that I have no deadline to meet or flight to miss ( I'm not buying flight tickets until the passport is in my hand) I just miss my partner.

This is the painful part. Decision has been made, they just choose not to send the passports.

As regards the 700k he decided to spend for the trip, you should consider if it's within his 2times disposable income or slightly above, if it's within or slightly to me I think the 700k is not bad to me. Becos U can book flight 340k, hostel 184k for 17nights, d left 174k can do feeding n transport.
However you know definitely you can spend more than that when you travel. Just my opinion

Ogidigan1:
First of all, I'm so sorry about your refusal; but how many months bank statement did you print out?

The truth is, if you print out a 6-month bank statement from any Nigerian bank, it will only display:

"Total debit transactions within the chosen 6-month period" ,

"Total credit transactions within the chosen 6-month period",

"Opening balance as at the first day of the chosen 6-month period" and

"Closing balance as at the last day of the chosen 6-month period"

There's no way the system can generate an 11-year debit transaction if you request for a 6-month bank statement.

However, If you can hide your name and other sensitive personal details, pls post the front page of your acct statement so we can really see what went wrong.

Secondly, you stated that you would spend about NGN700k during your trip. I think that amount would not take care of your flight ticket, hotel accommodation and feeding for 17days, considering the current cost of purchasing flight tickets.

My humble opinion, subject to correction by the gurus.

The numbers are on their website and it's a paid call.

I think the difficult part is getting to the application file, once they get to it, a decision is made and visa issued and dispatched almost immediately. Going by the timeline of a friend who had Biometrics done 24/9 got passport outside Lagos 17/11 , visa was issued 15/11. He didn’t bother calling or doing anything he just waited it out

That’s their new scope. Same thing I was told. Haven’t heard anything since then. The silence is frustrating

Oh. I'm going to stock up food for two more weeks. I'll probably be in Nigeria till the second week of December.
It's been 32 working days for me now. So either this week or next week.
My consolation is that after this application I won’t be applying to them until the next two years. So they’re free to misbehave as they please but they should return my passport by their 30-35 working days timeframe
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Debbieeeeeee: 9:10am On Nov 24, 2021
They charge so much for nothing , no embassy takes as high as they do for visa fees. The revenue they make from visa applications from Nigerians is enough to always auto fast track our applications. They now took away admin review and appeal rights to make people always reapply.

Same ó. The next time is 2023 and it will be within their country so no stress.
I have 3 more days to complete the 35 working days

Sorry about this refusal but I’ll say wait for 6 months before reapplying and make sure you address these issues raised by the visa officer.

sorry about this. When reapplying, try minimise your expenditure as much as possible. If possible bring it down to 500k.

I don't think i need to wait for 6 months before reapplying. I'll reapply with same submitted documents, and reduces my budget to #650k or 700k.

This is serious
I’ve seen people that got with lesser amount stated as salary

Also, what was the reason for the first refusal? Did you effect the change prior to this current application?
600k and below would be better. You could also reduce the number of days you plan to spend too. Anything to cut down cost.

My first refusal was because i used my personal account to run my business.
