Please gurus and experts in the system kindly help me! There was a mistake in my date of birth on my intl passport! The difference is one year! I have 1985 in my passport while in my other documents and everywhere is 1986. Now I am about to send my transcript for my master's in the UK! I wouldn't want this difference to affect anything so I called my contact in the passport office and he said it would cost about 150k naira to fix this in Abuja. Please how true is this ? Does anyone have any honest and trustworthy contact in Abuja that can help because this amount seems outrageous. Please kindly advice on what to do! Thank you

I hope your passport comes through before the 30 days given by the Canadian embassy runs out.

I’m actually in your situation but I’ve not gotten ppr from Canada yet hence my chilled disposition and I hope ppr comes when my passport comes from this my Uk people because how I go do am?

I think you should contact the visa office that worked on your Canada TRV and try to seek an extension. Explain your situation to them .
Another thing is -
Send a email to the Uk people , call them , email the visa offices directly. I can avail you the email I used to send additional documentation to New Delhi. Just explore every option listed!

You can’t cancel your application now because the procedure takes15 working days which will be counterproductive to this cause.
Finally let’s hope it comes out tomorrow.

I doubt if you would get any 340k return ticket.

As regards the 700k he decided to spend for the trip, you should consider if it's within his 2times disposable income or slightly above, if it's within or slightly to me I think the 700k is not bad to me. Becos U can book flight 340k, hostel 184k for 17nights, d left 174k can do feeding n transport.
However you know definitely you can spend more than that when you travel. Just my opinion

the point is, the ECO wouldn't know that. They are only concerned with the money you wrote for them in your application. Inasmuch as people could book flight at any given time of the year with that amount, then it's acceptable.

Thanks so much for your advice you can please send the email for the New Delhi so I can also email them. My application is 32 working days bio date is 12 oct and I just got the medical request last week Friday. So it just makes my head turning left and right

If it’s medical request you got from Canada and not ppr then you can do your Medicals with your coloured passport biodata but inform the Medicals people first and explain your situation to them.

Yeah that's the amount to change it. Plus you will be asked to submit some documents to verify the data you want to correct. BVN, NIN, birth certificate, jamb results...basically anything that carries the year you want to change to. It takes a week or two to be ready

Definitely when my traveling date is approaching I can always opt in for a higher one because by then the price would have have gone up.

Hi,

I'm so sorry about your refusal. I must confess, this is almost a perfect application, but you know, you can't predict these ECOs.

I can see you saved 400k monthly; You saved 2.4m in 6months. Since your closing balance is 2.5m, It means you only had 100k balance before you suddenly started saving 400k monthly.

My candid advise: Continue to save 400k monthly, reapply in May 2022. I think the ECO needs to see sufficient balance. Don't be in a hurry, pls.
