This is what I noticed, there was a drop in possession in the second half. Xavi must have noticed that final third passes from the youngsters was not getting to the right places and opted to go for long balls.

Then, Dembele presence kinda kept them from playing highline unless he dropped back which saw Ter Stegen be able to throw that pass that gave Depay his goal.

Lastly, we regained possession when Coutinho came in as we tested that we had two capable dribblers in the wings and Gavi gave him the pass at the right time to cause a foul from the opposition.

Looking back at the replay, we dodged a big bullet with the Pique potential handball penalty. Yes his hand was by his side, but he made himself bigger nonetheless.
