My gen started making a weird sound that is similar to when the last drop of fuel is about to be quenched from the tank. However, the fuel tank is filled up and the oil tank is filled as well. My gen guy checked it and he concluded that the engine is weak and he advised me to buy half engine. How trusted is this suggestion?

Often I did advise to discard old electronics and replace with more efficient less energy consuming appliances, where that is not feasible at the moment, prioritise and have your most wanted appliances powered while others can be turned off for longer optimal use.

AC6000 is a generator with difference. It has good features like Timer switch, a unique design that controls noise, bigger alternetor to help it carry more loads.

It can't be weak engine if you have been taking good care of the generator and generator is not old. Get another technician to check it.
