Not good at all...This has always been Nigerian issues... One would think that by now the government would get it right...
Where were the inspectors or the local government council when the building was on foundation stage to tell these people that they were building in an inappropriate area or their papers were not complete... Why would you allow someone to build at all, only to come and demolish..

At least we know that Nigeria is not short of labour supply.. if there were shortage of staffs to move around the neighborhood within the assigned area, to make sure things were done in a decent way, they can recruit more

Before buying land make sure it's not government own? Because government always warn people but the refuse to hear and our government na anytime the wake up they go dey pro-active. Before buying land make inquiry if it's government designated lands or not they people don't have C OF O and can't do anything

It is only in Nigeria that government agents would sell a parcel of land to you, using government documents

The same government that deems it illegal won't stop you from building. After a decade, they would come back and say it's illegal.

Did this people buy the land from a roadside mechanic? Their documents definitely have FHA receipts attached to it. I know someone that has this Phase 2 form from the same FHA

Everything in this country is upside down
it's a lie if u want to know where government land is go to FHA and make inquiries and u will be told where to buy land and we're not to. Avoid stories that touched before u shout wicked government that's a federal government land not state so do the people have C OF O?

Government will definitely come back
I saw red writing on the walls meaning government warning but the sellers will be giving them false hope

Other people houses are being destroyed oh but she only mention that of igbo as if there is a form of discrimination, igbos now feel they are selected even if everyone experience it the same, this is just soliciting for cheap sympathy, unfortunate for those who lost their homes, i pray God gives them means, for those who have legal tender, they should sue this government so that they can get compansated then sue for damages again so that atleast we go reduce small out of money they will steal or have stolen.

this is just pure fact. They been see when person dey build they no stop am but few years down the line, they go just come demolish the building and the funny thing is 10 years from now nothing will be constructed on that land, it will be there empty. And also people shld make series of enquiries from Alahusa to know if a land is approved by the state govt to build on rather than waste over 50m in purchasing and erecting a building on a land.

Don't mind them. Very tribalistic pathetic set of people. They will never do the right thing and when the law catches up with them they start playing the tribal card. Idiots.

People who failed to do the right things always pay bigger for it in the long run.

Before you buy any property pls do due diligence by checking the status/title of the land from the relevant authorities to avoid the story that touch.
.

You are right but things don't go like that in Nigeria. Land in Nigeria don't have clear definition except where it is being cedwd to states. In Nigeria, land belongs to community, aboriginals and so on.

Nigeria land issue is complicated.
