After about 3-4 of such interception, even the APS sensors and radars would have been destroyed along with other important components outside the tank.

Just for sake of discussion

I have some doubts regarding the above portion in that some probability of damage might exist post 4-5 interception but not high enough in probability to render APS inoperable majority of times, competent end users/designers will (should) frame op requirements pre and post system development factoring probable kinematic damage from dispersion etc post interception & include mitigation measures either during interception or post interception or both

There are lot of studies done including real ones and stimulations when it comes to kinematics of projectiles etc if it involves any system

APS is a very expensive system , nobody is rich or foolish enough to induct a system which supposedly will lasts 4-5 interception , ironically that too after successful interceptions

Just my POV , you could be right too

Anyways DRDO also started working on it's APS system

Sensors reportedly both radar and IIR based

Let's see how it comes out

İ agree. I think the probability of APS damage from tandem shaped charges and dispersed warhead splinters are low for just the reasons you said. Rigorous mathematical and computer simulations to determine optimum location on the vehicle body. The APS sensors themselves are numerous cameras with that many numbers given that much level of redundancy

RiceProducers:

Governments should buy all produce and distribute. That way, you don't mix out on revenues.
As long as they buy at fair price and they are always ready to buy at any given time of the year (given that some farmers use irrigation so their produce isn't seasonal)

But I think a more sustainable solution would be to make it compulsory by law that no farmer can sell produce directly, You must be in a farmers cooperative ltd which would be a holding company for farmers within and administrative region. This company will then keep formal records of what each farmer brings and once sold, the payment would be made directly to banks so taxing would be very easy...
In Kenya, This already happens with Coffee and Tea farmers, So it's just a matter of borrowing a leaf from such smallholder holding companies. These companies are owned by the farmers themselves so they set they control the company.

Lol. In some cases some APS didn't even last more than 2 interception.

Yep. Exactly what's supposed to happen to a prototype when stress-tested for 4years/25 000km.
There's a reason the Turkish claims have only appeared in a dodgy site and a few Turkish fangirl blogs:
respectable defence publications know this game.

KPE begins production of Barys 6×6 IFVs for Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering (KPE) has started production of the Barys 6×6 Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) for the Kazakh military, which will receive its first vehicles by the end of the year.

The company, a joint venture between Paramount Group and Kazpetromash, said the Barys 6×6 (Mbombe 6) is being manufactured entirely from within Kazakhstan.

Take the hits? You seem to think I'm here to defend the Mbombe. All I'm saying is this is normal for a prototype, and all the nonsense about "Barys failure" is Turkish fangirls butt-hurt that the Kazakhs bought a few Arma to simply benchmark and improve own product.

In SA defence industry, this phase is called Bush Break, where a prototype vehicle is literally taken into the bush to break as much as the drivers can. It's the last phase of testing to incorporate whatever feedback before the final production-ready model.
There's a reason these vehicles move from concept, to design, to prototype, to pre-production to production model.

We use nominal to compute true national wealth. PPP, power purchasing parity is more useful for national comparisons.
GDP comparisons using PPP are arguably more useful than those using nominal GDP when assessing a nation's domestic market because PPP takes into account the relative cost of local goods, services and inflation rates of the country, rather than using international market exchange rates.

I love it when the military self-correct, If you hide bad apples for fear of a little embarrassment eventually the whole basket will reek of rot.

RECRUITMENT MALPRACTICES
A Kenya Defence Forces soldier was on Monday 29th November 2021 convicted to five and a half years imprisonment by a Court Martial sitting at Lang’ata Barracks after he was found guilty of engaging in recruitment malpractices.
The members of the court led by Colonel Lucas Teimuge and Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi found Corporal Fred Kiptum Kiplagat guilty of obtaining money by false pretense, desertion from duty and issuing a fake KDF recruitment calling letter.
Corporal Kiptum was convicted to two years in jail for obtaining Sh300,000 (About $2,600) from Charles Kipkorir on 4th April 2021 pretending that he was in a position to help recruit his son Brian Kipkemoi into the military. He was also convicted to two years in prison for obtaining Sh102,500 from Brian Kipkemoi on the same day pretending that he was in a position to influence his recruitment into the military.
Further, Corporal Kiptum was sentenced to a year in jail for issuing a fake calling letter to the complainant, an act he ought to have known constitutes a criminal offense and additional six-months in prison for deserting his place of work for 90 days without official leave until his arrest on 3rd May 2021.
The Magistrate directed that all the charges run concurrently and granted the accused 14 days to lodge an appeal if dissatisfied with the decision of the court.

University of KwaZulu Natal successfully tests liquid rocket engine

The University of KwaZulu-Natal’s (UKZN’s) Aerospace Systems Research Group (ASReG) has successfully tested a liquid propellant rocket engine as the first step towards developing a launch vehicle for placing satellites into Earth orbit.

The Ablative Blow-down Liquid Engine (ABLE) was designed by mechanical engineering students in the master’s and doctoral programmes at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

ASReG’s Space Propulsion Programme is supported by the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI), which is fully funding the sounding rocket development research and the liquid propulsion initiative, as well as the students that are involved.

The successful ABLE test campaign took place at the Denel Overberg Test Range in the Western Cape over a three-week period. Ten mechanical engineering students put the SAFFIRE ABLE rocket engine through its paces on a test stand to measure its performance. The ABLE combusts liquid oxygen (LOX) and jet A-1 fuel to produce just under two tons of thrust, and is similar in design to engines powering the newest small satellite launch vehicles.

For the test campaign, students not only built the engine itself, but designed and qualified a state-of-the-art test facility with propellant storage tanks, an automated engine control system, and a thrust stand to restrain the engine throughout its operation.

During testing, the ABLE produced 18 kilonewtons (about 1.8 tons) of thrust in a series of short and long-duration burns. Although there are bigger commercial engines in operation, ABLE is one of the most powerful student-built liquid rocket engines ever produced, the UKZN said.

“With this development, UKZN has further strengthened its position as a South African centre of excellence in aerospace propulsion engineering. In March this year, ASReG broke the African hybrid rocket altitude record when it successfully launched a Phoenix rocket to 18 km. ABLE is a different kind of engine, running on liquid propellants rather than the solid and liquid combination of the Phoenix rocket,” the UKZN said.

The Mbombe is a family of 3 vehicles:
--Mbombe 4 ( sold to the UAE and India - where it'll be manufactured as the Kalyan M4);
--Mbombe 6 ( sold to Jordan and Khazakstan - where it'll be manufactured as the Barys 6); and
--Mbombe 8 ( still in prototype stage of development in Khazakstan - where, if production goes ahead, it'll be known as the Barys 8. It's this version we've been "discussing"wink

It's the Mbombe 4 which performed well in UAE and landed an order.
