2023: Why Igbos May Never Produce President Of Nigeria – Bishop Azubuike by adenigga(m): 1:32pm On Dec 05, 2021
The Presiding Bishop, House of God Int’l Church, Athan Azubuike has claimed the Igbos will always play second fiddle and may never produce the president of Nigeria even when they have all it takes to lead the country in 2023.

The cleric said this at an event for young clergy in Owerri.

He insisted that the average Igbo man is a trader and not a politician as they do not have the skills to mobilise people at the grassroots

He said,” One thing about an Igbo man is that an average Igbo person is a trader only interested in profit-making, we are not interested in working. We are not interested in the grassroots. Once it’s a few months to elections, Igbo politicians will start visiting churches in remote villages, that is the sense of a trader,
not a politician.”

”Let me be very frank with all on why Igbos may never produce a president but play second fiddle by asking who is coming out in Igbo land? You’ll tell me it’s Rochas Okorocha, Anyim Pius Anyim, Sam Ohuabunwa among others but since Pius became the Senate President, how many times have you seen him and others in Imo State. The presidency is not a local government election .”

He said,” Today, people are talking about the 2023 presidency and I ask those Igbo politicians claiming to be interested in the race what have they been doing to galvanize the grassroots.”

He further queried,” Why is it that an Igbo man is only interested in meeting people only when it’s a few months to any election. It’s arrant nonsense. If the program organized by Mezie Imo Clergy Forum today was held in Yoruba land or the North, this place will be filled with great personalities but here the reverse is the case”

” A good politician works before he shows his ambition. A good politician works before galvanizing for election, that is why I said an Igbo man is a trader, not a politician.”

“As a presidential aspirant, you need to move around, increase your horizon and coordinate with other zones even before now.”

What the bishop said is his personal opinion.

They main reason why Igbo man will never be Nigeria president is because of hatred two major tribe have for them in a country of three major tribe.

These two people will choose Abubakar shekua of boko haram to be Nigeria president over a competent Igbo man.

Even GEJ suffered many unnecessary attack just because he have few Igbos in some important positions, had it been he have only people from those two tribe,GEj would have go for second term.

But the only good thing here is,as there hatred dey destroy Nigeria,e dey affect everyone not only the people they love to hate.

Well I guess it was Igbo leaders that were killed during the coup in 1966 and hausa and Yoruba soldiers were the killers.

The igbos hate every other Nigerian because they believe they are better than everyone. The igbos could not understand why leadership went to the north during the 1st republic forgetting that in democracy it's a game of number.

U spill the first blood and yet u still claiming victim?

You spoke out the Truth to them but they can never agree with you bcs they are Igbos. They think they know it all, they wise more but what they don't know is more than what they know .If you asked them questions they start insulting you .I had never see where they accept responsibility for their faliuors but they usually blame others.

This one seems to understand Igbos and Nigeria politics, igbos prefer Fulani to dominate them, they prefer to be second

I remember when they told us that Nigeria will be better on radio. The same way they told our fathers 70 years ago. We later started hearing vision 2020 in 2007. That was during Yaradua tenure.

Nigeria instead became a failed shithole

But Nigeria is a real and recognised country that can get better. You can do your part to make it better as well. Biafra on the other hand, as your pastor put it, will come when Jesus comes. And we all know Jesus ain’t never coming, yeah so bye to Biafra, it can only exist in your dreams, so time to face your reality which is, you guessed it, NIGERIA!!!! grin

Femi Adesina how far, when will Nigeria be better? Your great grandfather's were told the amalgamation of Nigeria is for better in 1914, your grandfather's were told same in 1960, your fathers were told that Nigeria will soon be better in 1999. You were lied to again in 2007

Today, you are lying to the current generation that Nigeria will soon better. Doesn't the audio bettering of Nigeria have particular date? cheesy

Unity begging is a disease. Your forefathers have been begging since 1914. Igbos did not want you, don't want you and will never want you. Do something better with your lives. Parasites cheesy
