Be strong and keep a good faith work on the reasons of your visa delay you’re going to get it, pay a new MRV fee and apply in abuja you should get a closer date

I want to say Thank you to everyone cause I went for my interview with the entire Nairaland transcripts in my head. My interview was for 9am December 8 and I got it with surge date application. Indian V.O window 3

Me: Good morning
V.O: Good morning
Me: passed my I-20 and passport and sevis fee receipt
V.O: you are going for what program?
Me: Management information systems
V.O: returned my sevis fee receipt* what did you study for your first degree?
Me: Accounting
V.O: So why management information systems now?
Me: I really don’t remember what I said but I answered
V.O: you’ve been to America before?
Me: yes, in 2016 and 2017
V.O: any other country?
Me: Uk. I don’t remember how many times cause I’ve been traveling since I was a kid but I was in the Uk in January of 2020 last year for 5 days.
V.O: Any other country?
Me: No
V.O: did you travel with your family to the US?
Me: No, it was a school convention and the second time was a holiday
V.O: who is sponsoring you?
Me: My mother
V.O: what does she do?
Me: She owns a gas station and a small farm. Rears chicken and pigs
V.O: Do you have anyone in the US?
Me: My aunt?
V.O types for minutes and was checking my I-20. I will be approving your visa.

I just got denied today at Lagos. I was asked only two questions; when did you finish your undergraduate degree and where do you work. I was handed a blue form after the two questions, don't know where I got it wrong.

Please, has anyone got an appointment using the Abuja email: ConsularAbuja@state.gov?

I got an email from them saying my EA has been approved. I was then asked to go and reschedule my appointment. I now saw earliest date for December. Which I picked one that was suitable for me.

When is your start date for classes in the US? Is it withing 60dahs to the start that you requested for the EA?

The same questions I was asked. Infact the VO was basically reading out my I-20.
As he asked what were my career plans, his hands were already on the blue slip.

How do I change location from Lagos to Abuja for interview, no surge dates in Lagos again

I think you might have to pay a new visa fee for that, not too sure tho, because you must have picked Lagos from the beginning of the application.

Start date is 10th of January

I have gotten a new date in Abuja and all I did was cancel my Lagos appointment and filled the form again

Hi guys, my visa appointment was yesterday 7th at the US embassy Abuja and I received email from the embassy last week Friday that my interview date has been postpone. And I read it here right now some guys did their interview yesterday. Please guys what should I do? I'm confused

Maybe we were interviewed by the same man, same style. He read my I-20 for me too.

If you need someone to properly review and scrutinize your DS-160 form you can send me a message, I am willing to help you cross your i's and dot your t's. Your ds-160 form is the most most important part of your application. It has to be error-free. By the way, I won't be charging a penny for this. Nairaland has been very helpful for me and I need to give back as much as I can.

It doesn't matter if you have submitted your DS-160 already or not. It can always be updated until 3 days before your interview.
