ABIODUN105:
This season Emmanuel Dennis have been fantastically fantastic but if Gernot rohr seat him on the bench in afcon it will be very painful.
Especially for any defensive wingers… the man was forced to even use chukwueze at the last nations cup…. Don’t know what’s his issue with flair players

NFF owes Keshi seven months’ salary

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) owes Super Eagles manager, Stephen Keshi, and members of his backroom staff seven months’ salaries, NFF President, Aminu Maigari, confirmed over the weekend.
Maigari claimed the delayed payments were due to the financial constraints the football body is facing in recent times.
“It is true that Keshi has not been paid for the past seven months but the hands of the federation are tied over this matter,” he said in a SuperSports report. “It’s not as if we are hoarding this money and have refused to pay him. The NFF is in dire straits as far as financial resources are concerned.

“We have even had to slash the winning bonus of players of the Super Eagles from $10,000 USD to $5,000 USD as a result.”
Maigari said the NFF has taken steps to alleviate Keshi’s financial situation by taking responsibility for his hotel bills and feeding.
“There are several steps taken by the NFF in this regard to make Keshi’s life easier,” he said. “The rent of the hotel in Abuja he lives in is paid by the NFF. His feeding is taken care of by the NFF as well. He has an official car provided by the NFF and we ensure that any expense he needs to meet as he carries out his official duties are met by the NFF.
“Let me also use this medium to inform Nigerians that other staff of the NFF have also not been paid for over a year but they have continued working without complaints because they know the constraints we are facing.”

Others affected by the NFF’s financial constraints include the General Secretary, Barrister Musa Ahmadu; Director of competitions, Mohammed Sanusi; Director technical, Emmanuel Ikpeme, and the Director of finance.

According to Maigari, there are many more
“I am sure a lot of Nigerians do not know that even as the leader of the NFF, I have not received salaries for a single day so people should understand that we are selflessly serving the nation,” Maigari said.
The NFF president, however, insisted that the coaches would be paid their salaries as soon as “things improve.”
Keshi, who took the reins from Samson Siasia in November 2011, led the Nigeria national team to first place at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in South Africa, a feat that eluded Nigeria for 19 years. He is just a match away from qualifying the Super Eagles for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

TheGoodJoe:

I am a fierce critique of Maigari. He had his shortcomings. However, we can not deny his vision. Today, reflecting back, I am proud he led the NFF.

You need to learn to understand a point before going gung-ho.

I was one of the fierce critics of Maigari. So saying I painted him a saint is a joke. I literally dissed him but today I will take his era over Pinnick.

Just like I am a very fierce critique of Goodluck Jonathan but today I will take his administration over Buhari.

Does that mean I am painting Goodluck a saint?

Dennis and Osimhen up front during afcon would simply be hightension for defenders. Their work rate would be fire.

I still am not seeing what you are trying to paint. Cutting cost will not count as misappropriation. From your excerpts, I do not see your point.

If Napoli refuses to release Osimhen, NFF and Rhor should hands off.

TheGoodJoe:
Best. Did you read this at all?

Alhaji Aminu Maigari, former NFF President and Amaju Pinnick’s predecessor in office, was never privy to all these huge resources. He worked with limited funds from the federation account and won 12 trophies in four years without owing a backlog of bonuses and allowance to any category of the national teams.

Poor comprehension of a point. Now let me explain to you.

Iheanacho did not have playing time under Guardiola but I believe and still believe his best option was to stay to understand Guardiola's tactics.

Learning and understanding it with time will make Nacho a better player.

Nacho decided to leave. Which I felt was wrong. However, Rodgers is a man known for imparting his players with sound tactical understanding.

So I said it was good for Nacho, even though I preferred him staying.

Remember, I was one of the few that kicked against the move. Sighting the poor tactics of Leicester.

Naco suffered under Puel and Shakespeare until Rodgers came.

Nacho not long ago pointed that he has grown tactically working under Rodgers.

So my point was simple. Build tactical knowledge before playing time. Master the drills and the knowledge behind it and improve as a player. Then move and show what you have learnt.

Nacho now claims he has learnt a lot tactically. So now I will say move, get playing time and show us what you have learnt.

Now read what you are typing up there if it relates to the point.
