Okay o good luck you can count your psw. No need to explain since that's what you got from that statement.

I guess that's why someone counted study visa as well.

Lol

You are really doing aproko

I am struggling to understand why you don't get it. You asked for link which I provided.
This is an information that is widely known.

In addition, student visa counts towards 10 year route as well. In fact a friend got ILR based on combination of several tier 4 visas and PSW. This used to be the norm before a form of restriction was put on student visa.

He/She has gotten your point. Nigerians will die first before admitting they're wrong.

Does anyone have a functional contact number for the Nigerian high commission please? Applied for two passports and one (first issue) was received three days later. The other one (renewal) hasn’t been received and it’s well over a month now. I’ve tried sending several emails to no avail. The number on the website just rings forever. This is so frustrating. Please if anyone knows a valid contact or email address that they actually respond to, please help. Thank you.

The hack I used was to call the number on the website, that one will ring and no one will pick. Then call forwarding to a full voicemail with a different number will switch in. Copy that voicemail number and call it. They usually pick immediately.

I also emailed the email listed on the website and they replied after 3 days so it’s valid. Slow response time but valid.

Good luck.

I appreciate your response. Thank you

Hello, when do you plan on leaving?

I am looking at Turkey, Dubai and Cotonou routes at the moment as it appears Ghana is undergoing some ment

I have checked the turkey evisa website and there is a need for a return ticket - from the response you got some pages back, does it mean I can book a ticket to the UK and it will count as a return ticket of sorts?

I sent you a PM smiley

Yes, you can, it qualifies.
They are basically saying you must have a ticket for a flight out of their country, they don't really care where to..

Hello mizGene

Sorry for the bother but does this mean I can have a ticket to the UK in hand and that will qualify as a return ticket?

Planning it like -

1 way ticket to Turkey for 11 days stay
1 Way ticket to the UK on the 11th day

Will this suffice?

Waoh thank you so much ma’am. Definitely doing this first thing Monday. I’ve not had success with the email as I’ve sent mine since 7th Dec and no response.

Hello everyone
Please I have a question regarding entry to the UK in this travel ban period.

Has anyone from a red list country with a visit visa entered the UK through a green country?
I hold a visit visa and plan to attend an important event in January. I intend traveling to Istanbul and staying for 10-12 days before going to the UK.
Is it permissible?
Just want to know my options before the Dec 20 review.

You cant enter on a visiting visa.
Only citizens and residents allowed at the moment.

Thanks so much. After her last reply to me, I still thought she did not get it and was just making sarcastic comments. Had to stop repeating myself as there was no point anymore.

We all need to learn to admit whenever we are wrong though.

Does post graduate visa counts towards the 5years road to ILR? My family of three started this journey in October this year.

No, .... student visa , dependent visa and psw don't count towards 5 years road to ILR. Only fully working visa counts towards the 5 years .

However the above counts towards the 10 years as a consolation / compensation for not counting in the 5 years, lol

You dont remember clearly, some said he could get while some said he wouldn't unless it's a single occupancy and that's what conflicting opinion means.
TheGuyFromHR:

If I remember clearly, the information supplied was not conflicting, it was very clear that a full-time student, their dependant spouse with NRPF and the house which they rent are all exempt from council tax for the duration of the full-time student's course.

Hello

I have always had one funny scenario in my head

Lets assume that someone (M) comes into the UK on a 2 yr student visa and then luckily gets Sponsorship immediately after school

He then brings his wife into the UK who studies maybe nursing / MPH when she enters. His wife also finishes after 1 yr and gets her own sponsorship

If the husband, due to some issues later loses his job with the sponsorship, is there any way his wife can help?
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 2) by Preshyi: 10:02am On Dec 12, 2021
Our names are both on the tenancy agreement.
I tried calling but got no reasonable response but cos some insisted he was entitled to it, I went to the city council website and saw the option to apply online. While completing my details, I was asked to fill in the details of other occupants of the apartment and then a follow up question was if the occupant was my spouse/dependant. I then had to upload his Visa, Brp, passport data page to prove he is not a British citizen and not entitled to public funds. It took 2 months for us to get the certificate in our mail box but when I tried to follow up the response was cos they were very busy at the moment. Hope this helps.
donald197:
Whao. Did you use both your names for renting the apartment or just your name?
My wife applied, they only gave hmus 25% discount.
Pls explain how you went about it so I can mail them again.

A couple should always work together and should be a standby for each other until you cross the finish line.....

In this case , its very easy he quickly switches to be on her dependant visa.

Very Poor Data Quality

marylandcakes:

Maybe if Nigeria kept proper records then we wouldn’t be having this discussion. There’s no proper records of births, deaths, accidents, etc Loads of Nigerian travellers were using fake COVID passports.

There's no perfect system any where in the world. The argument is about the rate at which its forged here compared to other places.

Uzomarrr123:

Abegi keep quiet !!!
Go and watch CNN and see how dia govt is complaining of dia citizens faking to have received COVID 19 vaccine

Because they've become more exposed. Moreover, there's no perfect system anywhere in the world. The difference is the rate of event occurence

Hopefully the wife in the hypothetical situation would avoid taking an MPH which is another degree beloved of Nigerians that could be as unproductive as a MSc HR or an MBA.

Sorry for the bother but does this mean I can have a ticket to the UK in hand and that will qualify as a return ticket?

Planning it like -

1 way ticket to Turkey for 11 days stay
1 Way ticket to the UK on the 11th day

Will this suffice?

Yes, I believe the term is "forward ticket", the important thing for them is that you have a valid proof that you plan to leave their country for them, lol.
