Kelechi Nwakali to be included in 40 man list. Eguavoen has spoken to him amd some others......
Alhassan Yusuf of Antwerp will also be approached by Paul Aigbogun.

Better days ahead for Nigerian football. We can win this AFCON. We have all the ready made materials to succeed

Iheanacho notable contribution: He scored both goals against liberia, which was very important to our qualification. Omeruo was on the bench all through.
Omeruo featured away to Cape Verde and was solid

BVV as our NPFL subject matter expert how has Eguavoen fared locally. What has been his playing philosophy and style? I am aware he has had a couple of stints with some NPFL teams, so how did he perform? For me, in my opinion, it seems Eguavoen is just a journeyman looking for chop money. My reason is that after he was fired as SE coach, he later took on the role of U23 coach and he failed in that. I mean why would any CEO worth his salt agree to be reappointed to a lower role in the same org.
I also have that feeling about Eguavoen's qualities but on a second thought, that's the reason why he has so many assistants. Remember that he has worked with Siasia before in the SE and they did well. I think his presence will bring sanity and discipline to the national team with all these issues of sex party arising and arguments in the dressing room. His facial look will control the team.

I hope Eguavoen will do a press conference soon. He needs to make his plans for the team in this interim window public and also let us know what we should expect in the coming weeks.

We also need to know his philosophy and also if he has any immediate plans for grassroots involvement. Or, is he strictly focused on the AFCON.

Bro, we are dealing with our fellow Nigerians here o but then am only concerned about the others, I approve of the inclusion of Nwakali
Others might be
Awoniyi,
Dennis,
Amo,
Ahassan,
Lookman,
Dessers'

Or even the regular players

Don't u agree a new coach should speak to his players at least to b assured of their readiness before inviting them.

If he went ahead n include olise for instance without talking to him first,n he declines,i'm sure some will blame him

Yea he should organise a press conference to tell us his interim plans,

But for his philosophies and grassroot projects, that would be too cumbersome n unrealistic in this very short window.
However let us c if he talk about his playing philosophy and other elaborate plans

Going by AFCON date, camp is supposed to start 2 weeks before kickoff and two week starts from next week. He may not have that luxury of time to hold a presser but it's something logical to do.

I know some teams will start camping on 23 of December and others after the Christmas break.

What’s really special about this nwakali guy ?

With the 8 likes on your post shows that the guy is loved here ,is like some of my brothers here do love players that has played for our youth teams before ,maybe that’s why some of them can’t do wrong in their eyes

Has nwakali even done anything this season at division 2 to be considered in a 40 man list ?

Good luck to him if he makes the eagles list
Don't mind them...I will agree he go speaks to the likes of Amoo and Olise instead and see their possible inclusion and not one lazy player in segunda B

how is it long over due? He has never truly impressed at club level, played U-23 nations cup failed to do anything. The only reason i think his invitation is ok is because we are short in midfield

The truth is that there is a clear discipline issue with a lot of these Nigerian players, and it is something that can happen where a young man begins to see large amounts of money early in life.

Not just money, but fame as well. So, they do not even think about the future, they want to bask in the here and now, especially when these things were unavailable to them prior to this new found fame

Now, this is where a strong support system is supposed to come in, to keep them grounded. The support system is supposed to come in form of older people who should know better and teach them to do better

The problem though, is that the support system for a lot of Nigerian players, is equally weak. They are feeding their support system, and when you are feeding people, especially in a country like Nigeria, the likelihood that those people will tell you hard truths is very low, because they will only want to curry favours from you.

I am certain that the like of Kelechi and co are feeding the older adults in their lives, and those ones are so heavily blinded with money that whatever it is they do, they will readily tell them they have done well. In an instance where someone is even bold enough to scold them, it will be light scolding, just so they don't offend their helpers.

Essentially, these three men, and many others like them, from the Nwakalis to the Chukwuezes, are being ruined by the fact that they are from the poverty capital of the world, and inculcation of discipline may be hard for people that are just looking for who will feed them.

According to reports Nwakali is invited to compete not to walk into the first eleven. He still has a lot of work to do to break into the first team.

So a coach becomes unimpressed by a nigerian player,
then automatically translate to almost every nigerian players as being lazy.
U don't even know what this same almost every nigerian players past through in foreign land.

But how about the likes of
Ndidi,
Osimhen,
Onuacho,
Awoniyi,
Chukwueze,
Ejuke,
Aribo,
Dennis,
Onyeka,
Amoo,
Simon,
Maduka,

Ain't these players working hard enough despite all the struggle they face for u to tag almost every nigeria player as lazy and unserious?
Almost EVERY new breed of Nigerian players are lazy and unambitious. They get carried away by big paychecks and stop developing. When last did we have a Nigerian doing mighty things in Europe like some of their fellow Africans, eg, Salah, Mane, Drogba, Etc. Except for recently Osimhe and Ndidi ( both of whom I speak well of here) other players we have are not hungry for greatness. Thats my emphasies... Greatness!!! Only Osimhe shows that potentials currently.

I repeatedly told people I want Barcelona to sack Rijkaard in favor of a rookie coach Guardiola who was coaching the Barcelona B team.

People then used to tell me, "How can you even say such a thing?"

Why? Rijkaard had a nice CV but I preferred Guardiola because of his philosophy. So I don't want to hear about how many courses a coach has done. I want to know how he views the game and what are his ideas of the game.

That is what I use to judge my coaches. Not courses and camps.
Philosophy without CV gets you a job on nairaland.

Nwakali is lazy and clumsy of the ball

His work rate and his defensive instincts is poor for a CM. We need a workaholic and energetic player

That's the deal for a CDM dude is lazy and clumsy when his team is not attacking. If he was that good he would have cut it in Segundo B all this while. Rather we look for a good AM/CM in the NPFL for that space rather than nwakali
