temi1290: The issue is that there is this sentiment that Cameroon and other African countries must host it. Most North African countries and South Africa have that kind of technology but they want other countries to host it. My take is that, the afcon should be shifted to June (as it has been for the last few years) and then, it should be hosted by the African country with the best technology. Cameroon can in the mean time work on their technology so that they can host the Afcon in June. Caf should give Cameroon or other African countries 5 years to acquire this technology. With time, other African countries will learn to have the capacity to host afcon in June. Cameroon cannot hold everybody to ransom because they want to host the afcon when they are not ready. The best thing is to try and develop the technology and capacity themselves 5 Likes |

temi1290: Why are you mixing apples and oranges, stick to the discuss. Of course clubs have a right to complain, free speech is a fundamental human right, but they do not have the right to keep African players during AFCON, the world football governing body has a rule to that effect, and it places premium on representation for country when duty calls over clubs. So on the legal front Africa isn't violating any rules. Your argument about African players staying in Africa is unintelligent to say the least. Players don't force themselves on clubs, the clubs recognize their need for a player and buy them irrespective of whatever geographical zone they are in. It is because of seasons like this you have a bench, so you can easily draft a replacement when your preferred is absent. What if they were injured, won't the teams play? 7 Likes |

If fifa go ahead and start its biennial World Cup Uefa and conmebol have concluded plans to pull out and start a joint Nations league by 2024. The top 6 ranked South American teams - so Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Peru and Chile - would join League A of the UEFA Nations League. The other 4 - Paraguay, Ecuador, Venezuela and Bolivia - would be added to League B 2 Likes |

TheLoneCitizen: Oga, AFCON isn't the only intercontinental tournament held in mid season...The Asian cup too is held in mid season. You don't hear the Europeans complaining about it because it doesn't affect them much... And what do you mean by "hot summer"? What you call summer in Europe is the period of heavy rainfall in many part of Africa... |

temi1290: Lol .."umbrella like structure".. "divert the rain". .lol.. U want to mess with nature? Do u know how much it would cost to build "an umbrella like structure"? How many of such are available in Europe? See, there are some things you can't change..Even this season,we have seen some games in due to weather issue.. Don't put too much focus on covid-19... Covid-19 isn't the real issue here... The real issue is that European clubs are never comfortable with the idea of AFCON taking place in January Covid-19 had provided a perfect opportunity for them to finally push for it's postponment.. |

lovewins: Remember sometimes this year when UK had that red list and were very serious about enforcing it? Well, they did.. They stopped South American players from honouring their national teams call up..South America responded by activating the FIFA law that would keep those players from playing for their clubs for the time period which they were supposed to be on international break The FA ran up and down begging.... |

do4luv14: I wonder why some people are trying to act so ignorant about the issue of climate... Africa is a tropical continent...Most part of it experience heavy rainfall during the summer period.. It isn't everything technology can fix... Even in Europe, technology isn't helping them to stop postponing games due to harsh weather conditions .. They are already complaining about the world cup being staged in Qatar... |

Danielnino00: yes Remember it like its yesterday, man city, PDF, and some other clubs were at the receiving End of FIFA hammer, before They start running left, right and center hope CAF will copy it, beside as Safarigirl rightly say, Europe is the worst Affected, and if anything at all, it's suppose to be Africa placing the worst hit European country on redlist |

TheLoneCitizen: He's not Overhyped, but Leno has done most of what he's doing. He's better than Leno in his organizing defence and shouts and ginger which is yielding results we all can see. Leno can't do that. Besides Leno was too yielding to the yeye play from the back system imposedby Arteta. Ramsdale is choosing when to use that at will, no matter what Arteta wants. Thats balls. If Leno is 2.0 version, Rams is 2.3 version. 5 Likes |

Rohr comes absolved for second quote to me. Yeye lagos pitch and stadium. Plus family and friends, parties. Uyo was far and concentration could have been high. 2 Likes |

Danielnino00: For all i care, CAF should never bend to any nonsense talk from these Europeans talking. We maintain our two year window. If its African that have 2-3 national tourneys in such a window, im sure none of them will want to buy any African again. They'll turn redder than blood. More respect should be added to continental main tourneys IMO. It will cut down these disrespect. |

I think the new super eagles coaching crew should groom Calvin bassey to replace aging balogun or error prone ekong I pray Osaze comes good at Celtic too so him and bassey will form our central defensive pair in the nearest future Also the nff and eguavoen should reach out to udinese’s left back udogie. Have followed him closely and must confess that he is better than both Sanusi and Collins Eguavoen should use this afcon to incorporate akpoguma fully to the team, if possible drop ekong for the hoffenheim man if the watford cb continues to underperform. An awaziem and akpoguma combination should be tried in friendlies prior to the afcon 2 Likes |
