helinues:APC and PDP. You think I will mince my words? You lots said SE doesn't know how to play politics but based on the results of the game so far, South East seems to have a common course while South West keeps writing books and reviewing books. By the time the dust from Bisi Akande Book of Worms settle, APC Congress has happened and then you will know how far. |

DSS1335:Listen and listen real good. PDP Rivers state could be under Wike but not the national PDP. Wike's influence in PDP starts and ends when position are zoned to South South geopolitical zone. The owners of PDP are still very much around. They are: IBB, Abdulsalami, Gen Gusau, Gen Danjuma, late Alex Ekwueme, OBJ(later), GEJ(later). Wike doesn't have shit influence in PDP presidential politics more that telling his state chapter or zone who to vote. E.g., in 2018 presidential primary, he was rooting for Tambuwal and thought that taking the primary to PH will influence the outcome. After much horsetrading, Gen Aliu Gasau flown from South Africa to PH and informed everyone that 'the Generals' want Atiku. Wike was embarrassed and spoiled for war. When he saw what was coming, he calmed down. Forget that Igbos are looked down on politically, they know this game better than any southern region because they're travellers and mix up with people easily even contest and win elections out Igbo land. It will be insult for an Igbo man to go meet Wike to seek his blessing because of 2023. He is just a governor like Ikpeazu. And mind you, money doesn't win primaries, people's trust do. Money can buy the people, but cannot buy their trust. That is politics. They know who to meet. |

OreMI22:Oga, APC would have weight the chances of a southeast candidate under APC winning the presidential election. Believe me, the chance is very slim. Do you think governors of south-south will mobilise support for a southeast candidate in APC and not support Atiku or Tambuwal having wike as running mate in PDP. See the best bet for APC is to have Osinbajo on board with a northern Muslim running mate. 1 Like |

helinues:APC started 2013 not 1999. AD started 1998 not 2013 ANPP started 1998 not 2013 ACN started 2006 not 2013 CPC started 2010 not 2013 Ogbonnaya Onuh, Rochas are from South East. They were seated with likes of Senator Hanga, Bisi Akande during merger in 2013. Tinubu joined APC in 2013 Buhari joined APC in 2013 Osibanjo joined APC in 2013. In 2013, Ekiti was PDP In 2013, Ondo was PDP In 2011, PDP won all South West states except Osun. In 2007, PDP won all South West states except Lagos. In 2003, PDP won all South West states. So South West has been serving PDP just like South East. So what logic are you using to show this serving thing? |

badoh:The only South that can lay claim to 2023 and the north will calm down is South East. Unfortunately, south west is more vocal and that is why north is laying claim too. The moment the whole South backs South East, north will back off. Osibanjo or Tinubu cannot be president in 2023. It's done and dusted |

Edwin Clark has the right to his opinion, but at the end of the day, it’s democracy and Nigerians will go to the polls and decide who to vote for. Nobody can intimidate or blackmail Nigerians into giving the presidency to a particular zone or ethnic group. Presidency requires bridge building, of which the SE lacks the skills to build. 2 Likes 1 Share |

badoh: Oga, You know very well that your analysis only makes sense in an environment like America where elections are free and fair. In Nigeria, only Jonathan ever lost an election because he was too afraid of using federal might and the army to impose himself as all the others do. 2023 will not be different from 2019 or any other previous election in Nigeria for that matter. You are on a long thing thinking that PDP will defeat APC without a formidable nationally popular northern candidate that APC knows they cannot just write results and it will stand. Which Igbo politician can the entire country riot for if he is rigged out? Peter Obi or Sam Egwu? You already knew in your mind that picking a soft Igboman as the PDP candidate is the surest defeat on arrival for the PDP, and nothing can be done about that. Else, the APC federal government will call out the army on innocent protesters as they always do. 1 Like |
