Your Statistical Data is outrightly based on assumption which is a Big Shame.. if has an institution you can not generate accurate data to the Public..

100% House hold and business generates there own electricity.. using Generator.. minimum of 7hrs sum 18hrs alone on generator.

Go and get your facts right..

Politicians know this and are so happy. The people don't care about good governance, all they care about is for their tribe person to be the president. And the president will always be tribalistic which means many competent people from other tribes will rarely get opportunity to shine. This is how Nigeria will continue till end of time or she blows up into war due to high population and unemployment

Basically, Nigera Electricity is been powered by a generator.
All the power plants that generate electricity in Nigeria is been powered by either a petrol or diesel engine generator.

The thing is Nigerians do not pay the power sector the kind of money they need to fix things and that includes both the government and the people.

Forcing the sector to run at a loss.

That's why we spend more on generators.

The truth is, we need at least 30 billion dollars a year, for 16 years to fix power. Our budget, with borrowing and debt is not up to 28 billion dollars US.

Imagine someone saying that they can't fix roads once and for all because there wont be any more work to be done. So Nigeria is perpetually fixing roads, perpetually fighting insecurity, perpetually tackling one problem or the other.

Countries with 24 hours power supply pay above 100 dollars monthly...which means that power companies have the money and profit to guarantee 24 hours power supply.
