You should probably ask someone more authorized.
Thank you for your response. I am trying to garner information from students with first-hand experience about this, reason I'm asking here. So, please, if anyone is currently a doordash driver or knows any student that does it, kindly share your experience. Thank you.

I received two emails today, 1 of them said that my EA has been approve and the other said that it has been denied from lagos consulate. I was confused and decided to check my dashboard to see things for myself. At the left hand side I saw Cancel Appointment, Reschedule Appointment, Emergency, logout. And then I checked the reschedule appointment the dates I saw was January 18 2024, meanwhile the initial date given to me was September 2022, and my school is supposed to resume by 13of January 2022. Please what do I do now
On the email where your appointment was approved, there would be a link which would direct you to reschedule. Click that link and you should have a closer date to be selected from.

No give yourself any unnecessary headache. Ensure the new passport is available before January 13 when you'll be going for interview. Go to the consulate with the two passports. There would be no problem whatsoever.

Something is wrong somewhere. You can email the consulate. While you do that, if you haven't been denied visa before, switch to Abuja, pick any available date and apply for Emergency there. They should give you.

Please quick question for a friend, he is not on Nairaland. He got a surge appointment for Lagos for January. But his appointment on CGI portal still shows November 2022. He recently corrected his DS160 and updated on the portal but the new Ds160 confirmation and appointment on portal still shows November. Will that reflect on his new appointment for January. Note that he only got an email confirmation of the January appointment. Is it ok if he just goes with the New DS160 in January?

Thanks everyone.

When you reapplied to Abuja, did you get a date and then applied for EA in Abuja? I believe you’re going for spring 2022.

So I wrote the Gre on December 6, 2021 and I scored 299. After seeing the score, I knew I was going to write another one before the year ends. I had just 2 weeks to improve on that score to atleast 310, as one of the schools I wanted to apply to ( North Dakota state University) requires a minimum Gre score of 310. I wrote yesterday, but I scored 304. It is clearly not the score I wanted, but I'm mentally fatigued to study further for the Gre.

I'm looking at using the 304 score, I'd like to see opinions about my chances of admission and possible funding.

Intended course : Industrial Engineering
Wes evaluated GPA : 3.47/4.00
GRE score : 304

I've been a follower of various us. visa student threads since 2017, and I know a predstan who scored 303 in Gre, but still got admission and teaching assistantship.

Apply with the 304 score. Your GRE isn't the only thing that is assessed on your application. You have a good GPA. What you need is to get very strong recommendation letters (not the typical ones written by most lecturers). The recommendation letters should be personal and give examples of attributes that are stated in the letter. I can send you a sample of a strong engineering recommendation letter if you need one. Additional, have a well written personal statement that clearly outlines your research interest(s). If you have any publication, it can further strengthen your application. But if you don't have any, it wouldn't harm you either. I have a friend who had a WES evaluated GPA of 3.11 and a GRE score of 294 who got admitted to the chemical engineering masters program at the University of North Dakota with full tuition waiver and a graduate research assistantship for Spring 2022 (he got his visa yesterday). He had very strong recommendation letters and a well written personal statement that strengthened his application.

If you need someone to properly review and scrutinize your DS-160 form you can send me a message, I am willing to help you cross your i's and dot your t's. Your ds-160 form is the most most important part of your application. It has to be error-free. By the way, I won't be charging a penny for this. Nairaland has been very helpful for me and I need to give back as much as I can.

It doesn't matter if you have submitted your DS-160 already or not. It can always be updated until 3 days before your interview.
Hey bro i just sent you a mail. I'm interested in you looking at my ds-160.

Please I'm in a fix, I'm trying to change location to Abuja. I filled a new ds160 then updated same on cgi pprtal and proceeded to reschedule my appointment but the challenge I'm having is that i didn't cancel before rescheduling so it's still showing Lagos as my location for my new appointment. Any idea how i can resolve this issue because if i now decide to cancel the new appointment then i will have to pay a new visa fee. Pls i would appreciate any response at all.

Hi Guys, for those in the US on student VISA, are there consequences for doing delivery jobs on apps like doordash, Waitr, GrubHub, etc? Thank you.

This information is on your school's website on International Students and work in the US. Doing any of those jobs listed up there will require your SSN information. You can only use your SSN to work outside your school in places authorized by your school's International Students official which will also be on your i-20. Another time is if there are no jobs on campus then you can apply for work authorization to work outside your school. So there are consequences except you want to work as an intern using either your OPT or CPT in one of those places and what they do is directly related to your program.

Hello Kayjay, please can I reach you on phone? I would like to discuss a few with you. Thanks

Yes, i had to pay someone to help me do it.
Obviously some people are aware of this and are taking full advantage of it to make money.
I don't know who manages the website and if they are aware but it is quite unfortunate really.

Now a new department has been set up which is to provide solution to mechanical complex problem and upon the completion of this program I intend to come back to take up a material role in this new department.
Vo you where denied before what's has changed?
Me: last tym I was going to university of Arkansas at Little Rock and now i am Going to Lamar University and because of the dean's scholarship of 8k$ and an Instate tuition waiver that was given to me my dad will be d one to sponsor me and I was equally able to save 3k$ for this program.
Vo : brought out blue paper

Please someone should help me out what might have gone wrong. Possibly the best answer to what's has changed.

Sorry for the denial. Those you've mentioned are significant changes. But how we can assist you is you can post the transcript to your two previous denials. That way some revelations can be made known.
