@justwise/others who travelled to Naija recently, can one transit through Qatar to Naija with only fit to fly cert (departure PCR). I can see UK is on red list of Qatar.

Is there additional requirement other than PCR test? I have checked everywhere I can’t see any but want to err on side of caution. Trying avoid being stranded.

I will appreciate your immediate response. Family member needs to travel from Glasgow to Lagos tomorrow. Urgently need to do booking. Thanks
WHy not change ur tkt and route ur flight via the EU? to avoid stories that touch

Quick question please, who knows where I can get a covid PCR test done quickly. A friend needs it to travel to Nigeria from Glasgow and he claims it has to be done 48 hours before travel. He doesn't intend to spend more than £80 on this. Any pointers please?

P.S. his flight to Lagos from Heathrow is 28th December, the one from. Glasgow to Heathrow is on the 27th. It's tricky

Thanks for your reply. So I took pcr test today and got a positive result. Absolutely devastated as my flight is tomorrow ! I do not have any symptoms and also wondering where/when I might have caught it. The question now is what can I do ? Uk government just announced self isolation can be cut to 7 days if I have a negative lft and no symptoms on the 7th day but I have been told that it is possible (likely even) to keep getting pcr positive up to 4 months after infection. Does the Nigerian government/air carriers recognise people that have recovered from covid but are pcr positive ?

justwise:

No that is not enough, you need to do PCR 72 hours before departing the UK and complete and pay for another 2day on Nigeria international travel portal , you need to show evidence of all these at the airport in the UK and in Nigeria, they take this very seriously,

When you are living Nigeria you have to do another PCR then when you arrived back in the UK you have to do another 2day test, All paid by you,

Arrived Nigeria yesterday and went through all the procedure and will go through more,

Hi,
Was reading through your posts but didn't find answers to these questions.
Did you choose a school in Scotland
How much where you required to have as pof for the family of 6 and please what documents did you submit.
I'd be glad if you can assist me with more information.

Hi,

I think you quoted the wrong person. You were meant to quote lawali. I came in last year and don’t know if the amount changed. But you are required to have POF for everyone traveling with you.

Even up to 6 months, in some cases........

Remember, covid is an airborne virus, so you could have caught it anywhere......

Best to cancel the flight and put travelling plans on hold ........

The masterkey to been boarded, is a negative PCR test .........

NB: If you doubt the PCR result + financially buoyant..... You could take another test from another test center............

Yes. I got a job with barclays bank. They are less concerned with my 9ja certificate. The experience was the koko. I aced the interview and I was pleased with my self. Not only barclays I've got employment. I had with Sky, Virgin Money, Freeview and Virgin media.
Key Note: Don't panic and don't leave any details out during your interview. Support every question with a case scenario. PRAY WELL.
I kept on applying to build my self esteem and communication skills.

You're wise.
In one of my books - Succeeding in Your Career, available on Amazon, I emphasise this strategy. It works everytime. Apply for jobs not only when you need one but to test the waters and see your worth, market value and build your confidence.

If anyone wants a copy, you can send me a pm and I'll can give discount for the ebook.

I wont be able to tell you bout the rate but what I can tell you is this, No fear of getting fake notes and you do not need huge cash in your person to secure it more so if searched by the Police there wont be need for you to start explaining yourself cos people do not really carry cash about here especially when you are BLACK!

Searched by the police? Hmm, is this a regular occurrence where you live?I only ask because I have never heard of it here. They do have to have reasonable suspicion that you have committed or about to commit a crime, don't they?

just hope for the best Bro. I tested negative a day to my coming to Uk in Nov. when I got to Uk, my day 2 tested positive. When I did the day 8, it tested negative. The NHS people send another one on day 10 it was still negative and I was released to go start going out in day 12. All of these are pcr tests. So just calm down. Do another test in a few days time and you might be lucky. Sometimes there is a margin of error in their report that’s why another test after a few days is necessary
