Truth is: President Buhari finds running Nigeria a drudgery. He enjoys the perks of the office, but not the hard graft, not the toil.

He has wasted six-and-a-half years, and, going by his record, is likely to waste the remaining one-and-a-half years. That’s not being cynical. Buhari lacks what it takes to run Nigeria and looks likely to leave the country worse than he met it on assuming office in 2015.

Look at the problems: insecurity, poverty, corruption, cost of governance, debt, etc. Buhari is unlikely to leave any of these better than he met it in 2015. And because he lacks the zeal for big, nation-transforming ideas, he would also leave Nigeria’s deeply-flawed politico-governance structure more skewed, and Nigeria’s unity and stability more fragile.

Of course, Buhari’s acolytes won’t see things that way. In a country where myopic and vested interests override the national interest, and where mediocrity is tolerated and celebrated, Buhari’s supporters are praising him to high heaven!

We're in a serious mess,most of us don't even know the consequences of this baba actions and that's the most painful part......
Nigerians would suffer for this, for at least next 20years.....
The puberty level
The nepotism and lawlessness
Corruption level
Insurgency
Insecurity
The price hike of commodities e.t.c
Most people could not even travel this December due to fear of being kidnapped etc

What this baba doesn't is that,this tribal nepotism will continue from one government to another......the case would be every tribe in government would now be favouring their people at the expense of other tribes.....
In short ,the unity of Nigeria has been drastically damaged......
We need a Messiah to repair this irreparable damage to this our nation.... Bubu is an error that shouldn't have been committed in the first place....

100% correct. Yet the irony is that the people Buhari has used power parochially in favour of, ostensibly to give them more socio-economic 'parity' with others, are actually significantly worse off because of Buhari's myopic outlook and lack of Awolowo-like vision.

Everybody, on every side, ended up losing out and Buhari indeed wasted a Presidency many of us initially believed would have seen the man write his name in gold as the transformational father of modern Nigeria as Kemal Ataturk was to Turkey.

Can you please highlight the things that Buhari did that supercedes what others have done? Atleast try and put your points down instead of just posting comments without empirically verifiability. Its not just enough to debunk and speak English. Enumerate your instances. And just so you know, the job of the opposition is not to massage the ego of the ruling and pretend that all is well. Their job is to oppose with the truth. That is what the Vanguard has done, whether sponsored or not.
