The issue the doctors have is that they want their own allowance to be perhaps x10 that of johesu. They're angry that johesu allowance is close to theirs in value. |

emapeteum:This is nothing but utter nonsense from you. You believe Nigerian doctors are quacks. Such decadence is not surprising from a politician who believes everything foreign is the best. The same person is claiming others are unpatriotic. Nigerians should consume Nigerian product yet you uncouth fellow will never go to get treated in Nigeria. Silly hypocrite, You are a disgrace! Calling those who work tirelessly as medical doctors quacks. You're only opportune to occupy the position. With your foreign aids you'd still die in droves if you fail to address the problems faced by the poor. This very system is what has produced the doctors who have travelled overseas for greener pastures. This Same education system is what has produced Nobel laureates and nominees. You ungrateful lot who's only lucky to get elected will still call lecturers too quacks. Petulant child with zero integrity in character and speech. |

We are the problem of ourselves, if you can't support someone to fight for his right and fail to make any attempt toward yours, why going against me when I stand for my right? There is a big problem, all unions have right to fight for themselves. 1 Like 1 Share |

Pull strings with your strength. They shouldn't wait for mercy plea. They should fight the battle doctors fought. They don't need to be very educated to do that. 2 Likes |

Tumbulum: For you to say that medical school is almost free in Nigeria simply means schooling in Nigeria no matter the course is free.. because medicine is actually the most expensive course to study in Nigeria, and lets not forget the number of years people spend in med school these days.. imagine spending a whole 6-9 years of your life reading book.. imagine going for clinics between 8-1pm.. then going for classes 2-5pm, then coming back for night calls by 6-till you're done.. then in all, you will still try and figure in times to read your gigantic textbooks.. one nelson pediatric textbook in medicine is more than the combined textbooks of some 4years courses.. then after all the stress, insults, unnecessary expectations,,, you will still expect someone to be earning 5k as hazard allowance.. you try oo.. God bless you |

Misterone: You that is very patriotic,, do you collect money for the services you offer to people for the kind of business you're into?? And bro, cuba has the highest doctor-to-population ratio in the world.. over 5% of their population are doctors.. now compare that to the stress Nigerian doctors are going through.. Nigeria's doctor-to-population ratio is even below that recommended by who.... Pay a quick visit to some hospitals in Nigeria, and I swear, you will pity for doctors especially the house officers, and registrars.. you cant be comparing someone who attends to like 10 patients in a week to someone who attends to 10 in a day |

KaluwisxPRO:since you're comparing their salaries with the salaries of doctors in US and UK, also compare their school fees too and see that it is chicken change. John Hopkins University medicine students pays 56,500 USD per year. So if their doctors are being paid $5,000 per month, they deserve it.. University of Ibadan medical student pays an average of N115,700 ($230) per yet. If they're paying them $500 per month, they deserve it.. |
