But from what I could deduce from the report, I'd wager a bet he died from a MODS Multi organ dysfunction syndrome - Heart , Lung and the brain

- Features of hepatosplenomegally
- The hemosiderin laden macrophages
- Features of raised ICP


The heart apparently failed according to the report.
Heart failure cells ( hemosiderin laden macrophages) and hepatosplenomegally proved that.

The gastric finding was also instructive . That looks like a stress ulcer ( which could be from shock vis a viz MODS).

Also, the parents should be asked what was given to that child .
With the desquamation of his lips , could it be some sort of SJS ?? With the same offending agent ( usually a medication) triggering a widespread immunological response culminating in MODS .

This is just my humble submission based on my little medical knowledge.
I'd like my chiefs here to say what they think about the findings.

That said, this doesn't absolve the alleged perpetrators of the heinous crime that led to the untimely demise of that young chap of any crime.
Justice must be served . This would serve as a deterrent and also help Sylvesta's family to achieve the needed closure.

Did you read where the former house master resigned because of their new site? A hostel was built in floors but no house master per floor. When something happens on one floor, before you get there, story has changed, so you can't blame the house master in some cases.
Did you read that the children call staffs by names? Do you think the school is not aware of their unruly nature to staffs but they make these children priorities over staffs? I have seen a case where a staff was asked to leave seat for a student in a public function, in fact, she told the VP to ask the staff to stand up. Everyone was shocked. So, these staffs are helpless in some cases.

No, Sir. They said due to background blunt trauma. Aerosols are the only ones that can do that. And because aerosols are gaseous they cannot be collected as black thick sludge in the stomach.

Chemicals can only injure the liver due to first pass effects and the kidneys due to elimination.

Go back and read the report again.

Chemical intoxication only comes from chemicals with -OH functional group eg methanol, ethanol and propanol etc. What they saw was a black thick chemical suggesting gastric mucosa erosion not similar to those of the chemicals with the above functional group.

The lungs are protected by the ribs, just like the brain is protected by the skull. If there's a blunt force trauma to the head that damages the brain, the skull would surely also be affected.

In the autopsy report, how come a blunt force trauma caused acute lung injury while the ribs are not damaged? Because the autopsy report never mentioned damage to the ribs.

These are a few errors I see in the autopsy report.

No injury on the head.
Internal organs intact.
The only damage is to the lung, stomach and intestines. Evidence of having consumed a toxic substance, which forced the trauma.

Lungs can be damaged by blows without damage to the ribs. However, if the lungs are damaged by blunt force trauma to the ribs, without damaging the ribs, autopsy would still pick up the trauma impact spots on the ribs.

The spots on the ribs where the blows landed would be picked up by the autopsy, even though the ribs are not damaged.

The family autopsy never reported damage or trauma spots on the ribs.

You are assuming a very professional and experienced pathologist. From the report i read I am not too convinced on the competence of the pathologist.
