Buhahahaha, such a confused soul. The thing is if he had jejely done his things without carrying Messi on his head since inception, everyone would have naturally accorded him a higher status as one of the all-time greats.

When Ronaldinho was reigning and didn't make any stupid comparisons, it didn't take the respect peeps had for him as a supreme great. Some still believe he is a GOAT till now.
