Hello,

The interview questions are not hard. In my case, I was asked about my spouse. How, where and when we met. The last time he came to Nigeria and when last we saw. How often our communication is and which means. (Phone call or text messages) why it took us a little after 5 years before we married. Basically, it was questions about my spouse to show that our marriage is legit and not arranged.
I wasn't asked any Deutsch question but I learnt they ask some people.

And for verification, every single document you submit would be verified.

Make sure you are truthful in all. They just want to know the truth. They will juxtapose your interview with the forms you submitted.

Meanwhile, please my people do we have anyone who was interviewed on August 5th, 2021 precisely and yet to be granted? I'm getting confused.

My spouse has been on their case at the foreign office in Germany but they keep saying they are working on it. I called the visa section in Nigeria and they said they are waiting for foreign office to give them approval. What should I do now?

Please my wife applied for Family reunion in Feb 2021,so we are expecting a date soon. My company just approved that I can run home office from Nigeria for the whole of 2022(till my family get their visas). I want to find out if my presence in Nigeria will fasten her process, like going to the interview with her or when the Abh want to check my documents, I can send them from Nigeria. What do you guys think? What exactly does the Abh ask from the partners in Germany?

Hello y'all,

Please is it possible for someone to apply for a Visiting Visa to Germany while his/her Reunion visa application is still being processed?
Has anyone gone through that pathway ?
Thanks.
Re: General German Work And Family Re-union Visa Enquiries by Bonn2007: 8:52pm On Jan 04, 2022
Except you are already a German citizen, for any stay longer than 6 Months outside Germany, you might loose your residence permit.

I doubt if you will be allowed access into the embassy even as the spouse.

So sometmyz u wldnt entirely blame d embassy, even though they even derive "joy" in d delay as they dnt wnt blacks especially Nigerians in their country because we don turn "see finish" . Even getting appiontment to register in d foregin offices in dis cities once u enter Germany is another story ,sometmyz ur 3mnths visa elapses b4 u get an appointment . Jst b strong. I don't intend staying beyond 6 months, I stayed 5 months last year, so I plan on staying 5 months, go back and stay another 3-4 months, but do you know the questions or documents they ask the spouses based in Germany, so that I can probably pre-provide them

I think it is to confirm your living space , they already have your data.

I called embassy today and they said spouse will wait at the gate...since applicant is not a minor and not going for medical tourism...lol

To add to your comment, sometimes the Embassy/Consulate tactically delays the visa processing for no reason. My wife's document verification has been completed by the embassy since October last year. The Aüslanderamt initially claimed they have not received any notification from the embassy. After so many emails to them, they eventually claimed that they have the electronic notification from the embassy and they are waiting for her file to be sent. All this back and forth has been going on for over 2 months now. As you rightly said, they don't like blacks settling down here with their families.

Most times, housing contract, proof of funds. Some city offices might invite you for an interview.

Actually my interview was since January 20th 2021, I book a single appointment thinking that it will cover for me and the kids but Mr paulinus didn't allow my kids to enter inside with me, so I mentioned it in my interview and the embassy ask me to book separate appointment for the kids and send them mail with their reference code, which I did and they were given appointment March 2021, my file was not touch till the kids went to submit their documents which made my visa processing time to start from march instead of January even at that I didn't expect to spend Christmas in Nigeria
