20A is okay. but make sure it has editable charge settings

28ah lithium battery is quite small, barely 300wh, so will power a 30w load for 8 to 10hrs, if fully charged...hope your load is that small.

I would advice if you can..buy a big mppt cc, cos i forsee you upgrading pretty soom.

If you can afford the 52k MPPT, then I support that suggestion. With your lithium and an appropriately sized load, the satisfaction you'll get will likely tempt you to upgrade sooner than later. If you own a 60amp MPPT now, it will not be a headache by then.

I had a setup with 24v panel and 12v battery with a 30A pwm controller.

It was working properly but I read charging would be faster from here if everything matches so I got a 24v inverter and 24v battery.

Normally the arrow on the controller blinks but now in the morning the panel icon comes up and the arrow just stays steady and the battery voltage barely increases all day.

The controller has 12/24v so I'm confused. Has anybody experienced this?

(ps. I know I should upgrade to mppt and would do that when I get funds or an mppt fan dashes me

You have MPPT, put them in series, you can get 250w for around 55k..

On our Kartel inverter , the Voltage at Nepa Full charge (100%) is 56.8v

On our Epever charge controller,it's 57.3v.My confusion is how to know the 50% DOD voltage for the battery so i won't allow it drain below that.

So after connecting I'm getting 76v with multimeter at the panel

76v also at the wires before I connect them to the controller.

When I connect it to the controller it shows 73v as it starts then reduces to 29/30v and starts charging.

Now I'm confused. I'm getting 15/17w this morning.

Your batteries voltage is 12 or 24V..

Something is wrong obviously with the panel..

You can set the Cut off to 48V, SOC is hard to determine on Lead acid unlike the Lifepo4, where BMS tells you.

If you are willing to add this device it will help determine SOC..

yes I'm using it for learning programing it will be carrying 1 laptop + 16inch monitor and MTN hynet flex router ND my phone

I'd let it run till evening and see.

At 50% DOD battery should be 12.06v x 4 =48.24v.

There are hybrid inverters that can be operated without batteries.

And also there are micro inverters that can be connected to solar panels directly and inverts from DC to ac direct .

I connected my 2 units of fullriver batteries in parallel and used it over the night. When I woke up this morning, one of the batteries has dropped to 12.0v while the other one is still at 12.7v.

Please, why is that so and what am I possible doing wrong?
