I ordered something October last year, and the buyer's protection is suppose to end on Sunday so i am planning on opening a dispute on that day, but I received a mail from AliExpress today that have if I have received said goods because that I should confirm or open a dispute. My question is that should I open a dispute now or wait till Sunday? Attached to this post are the mail sent to me today and the order page.

You can order everything in your cart at once. But it won't come as one parcel unless they all use the same shipping method in which case they'll be upgraded to combined shipping.

I tried this during 11/11 of 6 years ago when exchange rate was a little bit reasonable under Jonathan. My card was immediately blocked by Ecobank. This is a card that I'd before then consistently used for AE purchases. I guess they suspected a fraudulent use. And although the card was released for use after about 72hrs (after 11/11 was over), I have not tried pulling that stunt again with any card for that matter for fear of causing the same thing.

NCS duty is 50/50. You may be lucky and not get charged by NCS. It's never in anyone's control but NCS.

Asking the seller to declare as gift/undervalue it is also not a guarantee that NCS won't charge you.

I think about 6.5% of the total declared price of the item. If the price is underdeclared and customs just accept it like that and calculate it based on that, then lucky you. But when it comes to mobile phones and computers or to parcels they suspect are mobile phones, they always probe further by opening up such parcels (customs have right to open up any parcels for proper inspection if they suspect any form of foul play).

So if they eventually discover it is a mobile phone wrongly labelled "gift item" especially an android device or an iPhone, they can most time easily tell the likely prevailing price of such item. So what they do is to re-evaluate the price and then bill you the duty based on the reviewed price.

Should you be dissatisfied, you can file a contest but you must be willing to present a receipt or some form of invoice to prove that the price declared on the parcel is indeed the amount you bought it.

Just wait till Sunday. If you open the dispute now, AliExpress will still tell you it's invalid because the buyer protection hasn't ran out

If you want to make an order from Aliexpress, my advise for you is to use Aliexpress Standard Shipping or DHL. That is, if you have the money for DHL.

This holds true. I placed an order yesternight. The default was Singapore Post and this is a health item for a patient that needs to be used in the shortest possible time. Immediately I saw SingPost for 1k8, I wanted to quit the item but then I noticed the second option of AESS for 2k3, and that's what I went for.

This morning it has been shipped with NG....R. I prefer paying an extra 500 naira to avoid SingPost and NIPOST and secure the rest of mind that comes with Speedaf.

i once read on Aliexpress, priority and attention given to items shipped via AESS on disputes. Have been using their service ever since and have never lost. All items reaches me under a month or few days over.

I have the same problem. I emailed Nipost asking about my order. they said it was sent to Enugu on 10th December. My address is Nsukka. I've been going to Nipost Nsukka since then but they keep saying they have not received any new mail since then. they even allowed me to go through their records and it isn't there. I went there today again hoping it'll be sent after Christmas break, same story. I emailed Nipost again and they replied with this.
