It's been at least 3 months after termination of contract. Full refund should have been issued for jobs not done.

Kind of confusing to me as I would expect yours to be significantly cheaper.

What a shame, isn't this what you could have told your client before this issue became a subject of debate for close to 6 months now. This is a big lesson for other contractors to learn, money is not easy to raise. When clients send you money please try to manage it prudent manner. Brabus you understand very well as a computer science student that the internet does NOT forgive and forget with this additional damage, you must understand what this issue has done to your reputation trying to proof a point. You wasted your productive hours and many other mediating on this matter. Please check yourself out. Are sure your village people are not behind you bros, this does not make any sense to me.

If from the onsent you knew that you didn't have enough money to pay the debt, you shouldn't have been dragging the issue with your client and the QS on this surface, with all your talks on business, I am really surprised this is coming from you.
It's as simple as having a WhatsAppconference call with your client and his qs and dispute their figures, thereby arriving at a reasonable figure from as far back as Oct.

Even if I don’t make money from my Ibadan project, at worse I’d earn at least 300k per unit on the 6 buildings we raised between May - July 2021.

We didn’t get here because of the refund. We got here because it’s hard to find a replacement for me and some think I deserved to be punished and made unhappy too.
Otherwise those whose quote are lower than mine are supposed to have easily fill in the gap without the need to pay additional extras on the project.
At least I was still selling block and cement 200 and 3,000 as at the date the contract was terminated.

It’s not village people. I knew most people here don’t like me to succeed. Even my client told me their names even before we begin the project and I knew it’s a thing of joy for them to see the project crumble.

On issue of prudency, pls sir can you mention one material, I didn’t buy on the project as at when due.

I bought 90% of reinforcement for the project during foundation stage. Chekitaut supplied 70% of the granite used on the project before we break ground. We produced all the blocks needed for the project before the end of May. We were even selling to other people later. I bought 90% of the formwork required for the project before we started the foundation.

What else should I have bought that I didn’t buy or supplied as at when needed?

There are some pastors that are good and won't take dime from him

Plus if he can pray by himself it's better.
But some of those pastors have eyes that see, he just shouldn't fall into the hands of fraudsters.

Take this matter offline, speak to rotecch and your client, reach an agreement on what you will pay and how you will pay. Forget about who is right or wrong, put aside ego or pride, a concrete agreement/settlement may not necessarily be the QS' report - from my perception of your client, he seems to be a kind person. By the time you achieve this, you channel your energy into other things more productive, unless you derive pleasure in controversies, I wouldn't know.
