Update!

Water tank is set.

I bought the tank 53,000
Pumping machine 35,000
Used about 100 blocks to erect the place.

Paid carpenter 20,000 to make the pillars and beam.

Used about 6 bags of cement for the pillars and the beam.

I paid welder 4,000 for the iron work.

Tiler 3,500 Naira. I used the broken tiles from the wall tiles and flooring.

I can't really remember everything involved in this, but these are the major ones.

Update on the progress.

I ags of cement.

Paid the tilers 25,000 for workmanship.

Very funny. I always thought this was wallpaper whenever I see it. Never thought it could be tiles, cos I wondered how tasking it'll be to arrange those small tiles one-one

Thanks for the info...I dey learn

Update on the progress.

I just finished the outside plastering.

22 bags of cement used. Each bag is 3,700 Naira.

The bricklayer collected 40,000 Naira for the plastering.

1 trip of sharp sand used (not exhausted)

I decided to tile the veranda wall.

Total of 30 cartons of wall tiles. Each carton is 2,800 Naira.

3 small pack of white cement.

The tiler used 12 bags of cement.

Paid the tilers 25,000 for workmanship.

Good evening,

Is your bricklayer a Cotonou guy? I need his contact for plaster work. From all am seeing here, his price is very okay. Cumulative of all you spent for labour interior and exterior is not up to 120k.

Mine is requesting for 350k, another said 250k. They also gave quote of 150 and 100 bags of cement respectively. Meanwhile, my bungalow has just one sitting room while yours have two. I really need help on this.

Am not sure the engineer added floor unless he's told the engineer he's not doing tiling.

Hello bro, pls I’ll like to private chat you . There’s something not clear to me about your hand-drawn plan.. Pls it’s urgent.

There’s a mixup with the dinning and kitchen .. I’ll love to see the actual plan if you don’t mind ojasweb.

What’s in the plan does not tally with the video you posted.

Happy New year on this thread.

I moved into the house on December, though i have not completed the fence, the compound flooring, the wardrobes and the main sokaway (due to water).

I did a temporary sokaway since water doesn't allow us to cast the floor of the main sokaway.

So far i calculated 14.3M that i could remember.

One important lesson i learned during the whole work is to never release full funds for any work done unless you have visited the site to confirm that it is properly done.

Even if the person is your blood or even swore to Obatala, make sure you go to the site to inspect the work before releasing the balance.

Igi ewedu oni wo pawa o.

Once again, happy 2022.

Congrats bro. How do you find life in Badagry? Are you originally from there. Hows security around your end.

I have been very reluctant to build because I feel security plus development is an issue with certain places.

I am from Ondo state. I am actually a person that can live for a month without going out. So i think i find Badagry cool.

As regards to security, it is pretty safe.

Do you reside in BADAGRY presently?

I was at an area a decade ago, and would like you to tell me the name of that place. Cannot remember the name but can describe it.

Yes i am.

Thanks for your response. Coming from BADAGRY, their is this long overhead bridge across a big lagoon. You will drive for about few minutes, then get to an area where the left side is the Atlantic Ocean and few houses on the right side of the road. That beach was pure and virgin beach then.
You have an idea about that area? It’s right on that express road. Like I said, the left is the Atlantic and you need cross to the right where I believe plots are sold.
