There are a handful of people that make hair in Luton. I had a Ghana lady that used to make my hair when I was in Luton

Would she be able to come to Ampthill in Central Bedfordshire?

I believe the general pay scale for nurses would apply. For a new nurse that should be Band 5 with salary between £25 to 32k. You usually get more on the job with additional certifications, shifts etc

I am an advocate of Midlands grin grin as i believe it is not too expensive and a good balance considering you will be moving from London.

However, you can consider up north like Newcastle, Sunderland, Scotland and all. Cost of living is also cheaper over there. You can also request physical interviews for any location for you to get a feel of the place

Okay, this is really helpful. Thank you so much

Lemsip and Beechams are actually better alternatives to treating cold/flu than using malaria meds. This is to prevent your body from developing resistance to them.
descarado:

But it has been working for me. So why will I not continue.
3 weeks of recurring flu is not joke. It handles the throat so very well. Yes, in Nigeria we abuse drugs but it wasn't planned when I did that cos I thought it was malaria after being sick for long.
Malaria test was negative but then I have taken the medication. When you are so sick and couldn't eat for days( lost kgs within few days due to high fever) you will be desperate to try anything and yes, it worked. I hardly fall sick and that's the only time I take medication and lo, it won't kill me.
And yep, I'm not a novics in the health industry.

If I have malaria tab, I will so gladly take it without looking back. Won't make that mistake again next year.

Maybe you are OK with high fever, I'm not. Gulping ibuprofen and co everyday yet no remedy.
Just hold it there Mr ITK Nigerian. Six feet don't know that. Not ready to die yet.

Many thanks @Missjekyll

Do you know if registering the business (with the government) is a requirement for Google listing?

My business is unregistered in the UK and I currently operate from home as I plan to take on paid employment as well.

I'm fairly new here and not ready to start dealing with all the paperwork associated with business registration just yet.

Oh. The African shops will work very well. If you are an expert in any area , include that too.
People are calling themselves loctitians in the US. Who knew.

Goodluck in your endeavour. I really liked your ad. Well written

The best thing is to test for malaria, and took malaria injection before coming to uk. If u re coming with those drugs u must come with doctor's prescription and beside she supposed check the drugs in and not inside her hand bag.

Took all the drugs that was mentioned and no questions was asked

Different strokes for different folks I guess

Good day folks. Anyone available to accommodate a male for a week in Glasgow at a cheaper fee? My husband is coming to Glasgow from Aberdeen on Saturday and we need a cheaper accommodation. I would appreciate if anyone is available to help.

This is also the case now in Nigeria as mine had to obtain their NINs before their passports could be obtained. But I am not sure why the high cost of 40 pounds for registration. You might want to really look into that.

Endlessgrace:
I’m trying to renew my child’s Nigerian passport and was told he’ll need a NIN before he could apply. Please how true is this for children under 16 years old.
Also i was told i have to apply for my NIN first (even though i’m not applying for passport renewal at the moment) before my child could apply for his NIN.

NIN registration is £40 per person. I just don’t understand all these unnecessary costs as a result of passport renewal.

I heard the contract was given to private companies so the 40 pounds goes to these companies not the Nigerian government.

I promised to come back here after passing my driving test. Yayyy!! I passed in November 2021 for the first time, my test was in Coventry (crazy test route) but I had an amazing instructor so yes it’s doable.

Anyone here on a Sole representative of an Oversea business Visa??

My son is starting full time nursery and that means packed meals. Any ideas please, he eats lots of noodles, poundo and waffles at home, hates fruits and greens but I want to change all that now. If you have any meal ideas appropriate for nursery setting , kindly share.

Well done guys for always helping people on here by responding and sharing your experiences.

First question, how old is your son.

Buy some snack packs from those big supermarkets and add a drink to it.

Note in nursery they serve them food also

Not sure about your location but most nurseries here won’t want you to come in with hot food. So it needs to be cold- Sandwiches, Fruit, Juice box, Croissants and/or biscuits.

As someone mentioned, also find out if the nursery will feed your child. You might not even need to pack anything if he’s not a picky eater.

Thank you, this makes sense because they won’t warm the meals before serving anyway. I am sure he won’t be fed lunch (it’s a sure-start nursery).

Hello all, some nursery provides breakfast and lunch, speak to them as I don't believe they will accept hot food especially with the cases of raising convid. Your best option is to provide sandwiches for your son, he will get use to it.

You will be lucky to get anyone to sign your form as a guarantor as many people have been hurt and put into debt. Good luck
