Visa Alert! And little testimony.

It's been heck of a journey. The last time I felt like this was in 2012 when Drogba was walking to take the last penalty kick...it was like forever.

It was almost impromptu. It was just late October we decided to apply. Almost too late for January enrolment. Admission came, but there was just no way we could meet the deadline for Pof at Bradford. But our agent said NO PROBLEM. so we took leap of faith, submitted four days POF. {don't use this as yardstick. It's just pure favour}.

Luckily, my wife was scheduled for interview. Alas, network took better part of the interview. Everyone she met on telegram got CAS but she didn't. We wrote a 'beautiful' letter to the interviewer and copied Andrew. Two hours later, CAS dropped. Hallelujah!

She applied but no date till 4th January and my son got Biometrics for 6th. I couldn't wait for them, I went ahead to submit my application on 20th, Biometrics on 22nd December. I applied for priority. (ain't that foolish? Main applicant has not done Biometrics, dependent dey do priority).

They dashed me NSF on 30th December and asked me to submit copy of my wife's application. I did same day. VAC dispatched my parcel yesterday, I received it today.

To crown it, my wife's passport arrived at TLS ikeja today also only after 7days. Wonderful God.

He who began the good work is capable to finish it as we await our son's application to be moved back to VAC.

If you have not take the two shots of covid 19 vaccinations you will have to do a pre-departure test, PCR test on or before day 2 and on or after day 8 and self-isolate for 10 days. If you 2nd and 8day test is negative then you can call short your isolation.

Thanks. I think I understand the most part. I just don't know where/when is marked days 2 - 8.

Would this be testing at a designated facility day 2 and 8 of the 10 days before boarding?

If one uses a salary account for POF and it has loan repayment on it. Does it matter if it shows loan repayment debit? will it raise any flag with Eco? @justwise

No. Login to your application again and try to change your date, you might get a closer date

I was also planning to use the virtual card, but when I called the customer care yesterday I was told the virtual don't work anymore so, I had to source for Dollar.

Studies start 17th as indicated on the CAS

I want to ask if TLC still does priority services and if i can do a walk-in for biometrics?

I'm contemplating not deferring but withdrawing from the University and applying to another university but the course remains the same.

I prefer this university because the Masters is for 2 years and it includes work placement.
I'm wondering if this won't cause the UKVI to question the change.

Yes, you will. Even though your AR was successful, if you don't get to the UK before your latest date of arrival, you can't use it and if you try, you'll be denied entry at the POE.

To get on your course for the next session if you defer, your school will process a new CAS for you to use in a new application from 6 months before your course start date.

Do it at mid night. They usually free up dates at midnight. Chcek dates for both assisted and self service. You should get a closer date.

Is there pre-cas interview scheduled before Cas is issued?
How's Sunderland? Is it relatively cheap in terms of accommodation and cost of living?

Going to an affordable school is one thing, being able to support your remaining expenses via jobs is another thing.
Sunderland, No biggie.
Only your school can confirm if you would have a pre-cas interview or not.
If you do , it goes a long way in helping with your visa interview.
