First thing first, you need to go for tests. Probably ECG & Echocardiogram scans to know the condition of your heart.
The results should determine your next line of action.

(iii) I had a similar situation with yours in 2021 (Feb - April)

Although I'm not sure why the doctor recommended an outright scan. Did you already do ECG or EKG? Well unless those are the "scans" he's referring you to do. Otherwise that's the first thing you should do before any other scan. ECG or EKG will help determine if you require further evaluation and they are easy to do, fast, and very seamless.

Trust me majority of the heart-related issues that most people (especially young) experience aren't life threatening or terminal. They're often related to stress, anxiety, and depression (just as you mentioned you're suffering from depression) that could be the trigger but you never know until you go for a proper test to rule out anything sinister.

It could also be an issue with your digestive system. Most of which are treatable by making lifestyle changes.

You’re not serious if you haven’t done the test.

GERD, poor posture, chronic anxiety etc can also cause those symptoms.

Just do ECO or ECG to confirm heart integrity

Why are you afraid of the truth? Don't you realize that what will happen will happen? Is it not better to know what exactly is happening to you and whether it is even possible to quickly remedy it? The longer you wait, the more dangerous it becomes. Have you even thought of that? Go for a scan immediately and don't delay it further.

I'm experiencing the heart palpitations now, mine started since last year November. I have been to the hospital to see a Dr and I was told to do some scans like ECG, Tyriod function test (TFT), LFT urinalysis, FBS FLP E/ulcr, LFT. All the scan and test was covered by NHIS because I'm a government worker while the TFT isn't covered by NHIS. The TFT is expensive in the hospital I use, I went to a government hospital and it's 6k lesser. Dr have booked me to see a cardiologist by next month, infact I'm going to the hospital today and see a Dr because food doesn't stay in my stomach. I don’t faint or feel weird but sometimes I feel Angina in my chest. Listen bro you’re not alone just try cardio exercises ( light ones) ,eat fruits, drink a lot of water, nothing will kill you unless you don’t go for the scan. Forget money and go for that scan it may turn out better or worse . I’m 28 now been on meds since 25! Everybody get em problem but if you see me, I live a happy and healthy life .. thanks

Do you smoke, drink, take any type of drug, is the air around where you live or work of poor quality. Try to avoid all these things I mentioned.

You are having some health challenges and you are scared of going to the hospital because the result may be positive, what if UT comes out negative will you still doubt the result
