Dr Alex Ekwueme formed PDP with other political big weights. He was to flag PDP ticket in 1999 and the road was already clear for him to emerge President.


Nigerian political elites and the military leadership then sat down and said Yorubas need to be compensated for Abiola saga and that was how the dieminute decision was made for a Yoruba man to flag PDP ticket and they saw Obasanjo worthy to flag the ticket.


All efforts was made to ensure Yoruba candidates flagged Presidential tickets for the major parties in that 1999 election. Why is it different now, have we forgotten the things that united us after the unfortunate civil war crises and tribal tensions?


Obasanjo had less than 10million, couldn't even contribute cos he just came out from jail, so on a normal day he couldnt have won richer Alex Ekwueme and others.



PDP you guys condemn so much also had a gentleman agreement to rotate the presidency and principal offices among the Nigerian tribes and this sustained peace, unity, equity and fairness in Nigeria all through out the 16yrs of PDP.



Nigeria is a multitribal nation, for Nigeria to remain peaceful, united and progressive, we must consider the tribal composites and make all tribes feel belonged and at home at all levels if not we are giving room for anarchy.



We cant continuw to run Nigeria as a nation of winner takes it all the rest should go burn to ashes, it will spare doom for the future of Nigeria.

Nigerians should see themselves as one.
Its not about the geographical zone of the aspirant but about the reputation and character of the person.

Obviously, an individual should not be in possession of huge amounts of money that would warrant bullion vans to be used to transport the money, so it's not a wrong question he asked, however, the next president of Nigeria can come from any zone in Nigeria, inasmuch as he/she is credible, not tribalistic, intelligent and healthy.
