I just want to pass this information to those building in Ibadan axis and struggling with portable water sourcing.

See the attached photos. The company just successfully concluded a borehole project in Oluyole area. The total cost is just under 500k.

This doesn't include the geological survey. This was done separately. Some forego this aspect but it's recommended. The project is a micro estate cum retirement holiday home. The geological survey identified three spots on the site. This was handed to the borehole company and they settled for the site with the best yield.

If you are having water challenges, you may try this approach. It was successful. Please note that there are some sites in same location that the water table is a challenge, hence the need for a geological survey. There are sites in the same vicinity with no water.

I'm not recommending the company or speaking for them. All I'm saying is that the company just successfully concluded a borehole project without drama.

So if you want to adopt this approach, please do your independent due diligence. No money was sent remotely. Someone was on ground and the company's office was visited. Money only exchanged account when the company was on site.

Do your due diligence independent of this information. Or do your due diligence to substantiate this information. My responsibility stops here.

Mr okenwa mentioned scredding will fix the cracks. I saw this scredded wall and the plastering crack is still very visible.

I appreciate all the opinions given.

For those building in Ado -odo otta, does the local govt collect any money for decking. A notice was placed on my build asking me to pay 100k for the decking

I'm sorry, this doesn't look like a cusmetic crack. This could be a different type of crack. It looks structural. Any screeding in this situation might just be papering over the crack.

2 things involved in plastering to get good results
- selection of materials sand/ cement
- professionalism.

Reason why I do go extra miles to get good results in all my plastering/ rendering work.

Check below diff states in Nigeria where I carried out some finishings and construction work.
You hardly see cracks. In difficult situations of getting good sand I do apply another methodology to get minimal tiny crack in one or two places if the work is gigantic one .

Pics below are plastering NOT SCREEDING

What is the best mix ratio and sand to use for such a neat and smooth plastering. This your plastering dey enter my eye boss

I will advise you to investigate any cracks properly especially if its a suspended floor kind off , .

Kindly check the other part of the same wall if you have similar cracks along that part.

Do you have any conduit system on the wall along that axis,

That burglary when did you fix it..

How old is the plastering

Do you have does cracks before plastering the build as well.

Key note...
Bad selection of materials or overuse of some may leads to cosmetic cracks which will trouble the owner thinking something is wrong

Bad foundation and mostly absence of structural drawings gves this palava ..

Very thick plastering without incorporating chicken net is another wahala..

Lastly
i observed it's a common practice what we usually check immediately during assessment is the beam , you will see labour and bricklayers packing block to fill the beam in an attempt to stop leakages of concrete and fail to cast the btm reinforcement.. no matter d scredding and smoothness in this occasion it will likely be thunder tattoo ..
Home owner should pay attention more to the structural details rather before selecting the best tiles and POP

You are right about the attracting attention part.
If you read my last screenshot response to spyder880, you would see were I categorically mentioned at the onset, that I intended to build a house that would “ pepper my village people the most.” That is the whole idea. Maybe a vacation home or for future retirement, time would tell.
No apologies.

I built one there but few years ago at Isorosi Town still in Ado-Odo LGA. I never see any single Local Govt person on my project o. Never paid such money but only to Omo-Onile that I paid N200k for decking.
But my buildings are also kobo-kobo project o.
