Just came across this timetable in one of the federal university in Nigeria and it’s contains the workload for the internship students in the faculty.

I would love to know if after seeing this timetable you would like to study agriculture or love your child to study it?

That farm work period is the time farmers work on their farm. They are trying to acclimatize

4th year is farm year in the faculty of Agriculture. It is like their own SIWES.

I will study agriculture if given the opportunity. Thanks to Amos Kester. He made me fall in love with agriculture

Lol... I don't understand. Why is farm work in Agricultural Science something to lament about? Isn't that the exciting practical part every student should be looking forward to? Would a med lab student reject his course cause of lab work?

Some of us don study am already! ..... It's just practicals time, some people don't even do much in that period, It's just to understand how planting and harvesting works. I am sure there are people who still assume yams are harvested on trees!

Farm work should be practicals now, except the lecturer is the owner of the farm and he is using the students as free labourers...

Of course... not bad. Practical is better than Abstract theory

Every faculty of Agriculture in every University have their farm practical work in 400level. It is normal.

The 4 hours is not even enough

This is normal, but I think defense against murderous herdsmen should be part of the curriculum too

Because the coordinator used the word farmwork,if na me I will use practical.
