It's simply shows that we mostly go to school to acquire certificate and not really to practice the course. How can an Agriculturist be running from farm work? May be you are amongst those always eyeing federal govt job...

I studied Agriculture and Farm work is one of the times will look forward to during our farm year.

During farm year, you only have two activities,
1. Class teaching/Lectures
2. Farm work, where you go to various aspects of farming. From animal husbandry to cultivation, to just strolling.
It's like leisure time, feeding animals, looking for fruits to eat too etc.

I tire oo, It is even year 4 internship year, we want food but look down on farm work.

Omo, that's what I am facing right now o, but mine is even worse because we resume as early as 7am and close by 5pm. I am currently doing my field practical training in a very big farm in Edo state, the work na die but do I regret studying agriculture? Never! I know what I was getting into when I decided to stick to it and I am currently facing it with an open mind while ignoring the heavy workload. Besides, I am getting used to it, a farmer isn't supposed to be lazy

I studied agric economics... One of the best course... Agriculture is the way forward... Without agriculture there will be no life.... Doctors need food to survive, everyone needs food to survive and this food can only come from agriculture... But unfortunately nobody takes us serious.... The government do not take is serious as well

If it’s medical science and they do to hospital work will you complain??

Final year medical students spend most of their days in the hospital that’s why Nigerian medical students do well anywhere in the world.

Same should go for other courses like pharmacy, engineering, etc and yes agricultural sciences.

Yes My child can study agricultural science if farm work is involved

This is the farm year practice period farm for agric students in their 4th year...it's no big deal....

This is 4th year activities, it's always a nice academic session to flex small unlimited freedom from all round lecturing attendance .

But that time table is not properly planned, is not everyone that leaves in the school hostel except the school had a practical college.
