First in the list is too much confidence from the boys in the first half. They played like the game was assured for them.

it wasn't too much confidence from the boys...

the boys didn't show any confidence in the first half and Awoniyi was non-existent..

they played like they came to draw the match in the first half and were afraid to attack Tunisia...

then the referee didn't give us a penalty, then he sent off Iwobi for a yellow card challenge, Football is a contact sports not every contact should be deemed intentional especially the Iwobi one...

Darkelf, your detractors have been put to shame

You said it that Nigeria would be lucky to make it to the QF. You have been vindicated

Next time, learn to respect people opinions without resorting to name-calling.

Scam-guaveon
There's a reason I didn't make my fear known from the beginning and that's because we were basking in the euphoria of a perceived "Identity" under Eguavoen. I also wouldn't like to speak negative about him because we lost too. I felt we'd lose this game immediately I saw the line-up was the same as the first two games.

I still don't consider Eguavoen a better coach than Rohr as the later was also impressive in his first few outing with the Eagles.

Big scam. GK that has not made a single crucial save for Nigeria. Go and watch the match against Sierra Leone, every ball they played towards our GK, went in as a goal.

Haba, what's the essence of a goalkeeper for christ sake

We lost means we lost. I don't think anyone would have done more or less, I kid you not.

I no dey believe in all this "If this person was there, if that person was there"

What happened happened. That is all
All through the tournament, it has been obvious that we lacked a real number 9. I feared for this together with the goalkeeper department and this two areas failed when it mattered.

Truth be said, it's better to start a tournament slowly and build momentum as you progress, most teams who win tournaments are like that like the Kesh team that won afcon. I was sceptical with the way we started from the first game as a house on fire and mind you this is a young team with not much experience.

Kudos to the eagles, hope they will learn from this. Am sure nff boss will be happy to justify his hiring of a foreign coach.

Stand up, for the champion, for the champion, stand up

Its for who wants it most. We didn't play like that, else we'd have made the right wing work while they thought simon was our way in.

Plus this foolish and totally annoying thing. It happened in 2006 and 2008 loss to Ghana. We go behind and its then we begin to see that we can actually take shots in a match. Which kine curse be that? undecided

Why can't they start early on?

And finally, im anti-maduka going forward.

Akpeyi catches that weekly in PSL.

So this is how I will stop watching AFCON now. Too bad. But I'm happy that we changed a coach. Not Rohr losing at home to CAR, but however Rohr did say playing in lagos wasn't good because it allowed the players exposure to the public and their family which affects their concentration on the pitch.

The same thing played out here. Too many media activities around the players which allowed them to lose concentration. Worst of is the president talking to them at this early stage. And all these sort of media shenanigans Is propageted by one man for his own selfish interest . the man is "amaju piniki" blame him.
