Truth be said, it's better to start a tournament slowly and build momentum as you progress, most teams who win tournaments are like that like the Kesh team that won afcon. I was sceptical with the way we started from the first game as a house on fire and mind you this is a young team with not much experience.

Kudos to the eagles, hope they will learn from this. Am sure nff boss will be happy to justify his hiring of a foreign coach.
Eguavoen was already heading for failure when he kept same line up from the first two games. Keshi succeeded by being ruthless in his team selection for the 2013 AFCON. One he sensed a player to be the weak link, he wasn't hesitant to drop said player to the bench. His problems began when he invited carpenters.
I never expected seeing Chukwueze in today's game

What’s wrong with Ndidi and Onyeka playing together and allowing Aribo to play ahead?

Some coaches are just too rigid.

There is something that attitude , desire and determination can do for you that makes you overcome a better team.

We simply did not turn up, the entire first half was very poor we beat ourselves . There was no desire to win .

We lost the game because we did not turn up to WIN it's as if we believed our own hype. I too was affected I even bought into the hype my prediction we win 4-1.

Put aside objectivity and got carried away .

I actually was a bit concerned we had win all our of games against all odds relatively easily. When you have to fight your way from the beginning you don't get complacent.

If we had lost one game before qualifying our heads would not have got so SWOLLEN.

Thank you

We did not turn up and we lost

That's all I know

All this blame game no concern me.

This game was way above our coach level, match that they shut our wingers off and was dominating us in the midfield, all it needed was a major tactical input and he was a no show.

Safarigirl hope you saw the Sadiq you said should take bus back home after the Bissau game? See the way my guy played like prime Benzema combined with a touch of Ibrahimovic today. There was one dribble he did today that made me stand up from my seat.

I told you the guy is a confidence player, that once he gets his confidence his real talent will show.

Osihmen would have been more impactful than Awoniyi. Awoniyi made us looked one man down even before the red card.

How? Is he super man? Who will create the chances for him?

You definitely don’t anything about football.

There's a reason I didn't make my fear known from the beginning and that's because we were basking in the euphoria of a perceived "Identity" under Eguavoen. I also wouldn't like to speak negative about him because we lost too. I felt we'd lose this game immediately I saw the line-up was the same as the first two games.

I still don't consider Eguavoen a better coach than Rohr as the later was also impressive in his first few outing with the Eagles.
Rohr was more impressive in his first few outings tbh

Moses Simon reminded us he was still Moses Simon and not Messi. He was full of running without end product.

Personally, I think Nigeria real competition will commence in the Semi final vs Senegal. It’s when I will judge Eguavoen coaching ability. For now, our squad is much much stronger than all these teams that we have played against

for the Chuks start, i agree with you. I expected Ejuke instead. He'd make the right wing click and distract them from simon cos while he may be wasteful, he causes trouble.

I have been shouting this since our second match. Eguavoen is more predictable than Rohr. At least, Rohr used to alternate between a three-man backline and a "four-at-the-back" system.

Over-predictability killed Eguavoen, the black Rohr.

We all know how Osihmen plays, he helps the midfield, bullies the opposing defenders, and takes his chances. Awoniyi was nothing of such and brought absolutely nothing to the team. Even the only goal he scored in the tournament na fluke.

Many Factors contributed to the lost.

●We lost focus.

●Our players got carried away by a lot of distractions(Okoye).

●The referee is on the Tunisians side

●Buhari called to early.

Even that World cup, they won't qualify

Icon4s, Mr Patriotism, where at thou.

As far as I am concerned, the only monicker here who predicted a 50-50 game was Elyte89 and forgiveness

The rest was talking about which players would score B4 even match start
All these sadistic people. So what will you gain if we don't qualify for world cup? The joy of seeing your fellow Nigerians disappointed? The satisfaction of being right? Or the recognition of being the odd one out? We know how people like you think.

Anyway Sha, my hope is that you desires will not come to pass. These things happen. No be Senegal upset France? No be Nigeria upset Spain? E dey happen. Tunisia had a plan and our tacticians were rigid in their approach. Na so we dey learn.

Considering how we came into the tournament, this shouldn't even be an upset. If anything, we performed beyond expectations.
