Oga, biko don't let me share my wife's experience. Unilag is the most inefficient Nigerian university I know when it comes to transcripts.

I am sure your wife experience can’t be as worse as mine… very inefficient I tell you.

What year was this?

GboyegaD:
I never had a bad experience with OAU. It could be that the person who processes it for me is just very efficient.

How do you know? Have you applied for transcript before?
Because I did last year and it was hectic after paying 35k.

The transcript should be online stuff
Its online stuff, yet they will delay.
I remember applying for one in 2018, it got delivered in 2019. It took 1yr.

I knew FUT Minna will be included.

Now, FUT Minna is no longer fast in processing transcript o. Applying online is like looking for pearls in a stream.

Unilag is not slow but still fast and cheap but you see that oau there, they are slower than snail and also very expensive. I wonder if they even issue transcript in the first place. I have never seen anyone collect transcript from oau

Can you imagine ?

Most Government workers are also like these

tejpot:
Lol

I have heard so many transcript stories with one of the schools listed up there.
One of the transcript officer said and I quote.
"It is not everybody that applies that will get their transcript"

Another one:
"I don't know why all of you are going overseas, if we ask overseas people for transcript, will they come here?"

Another one:
"Are you a Muslim or Christian, please start praying o, I have done my own as an officer to help you fast track"

Another one:
"You applied for transcript and you sat down at home and can't follow up"

Etc etc

Don't these schools have online platforms where one can place a request for transcript and have it mailed to the recipients? In a country where everyone now identifies as a programmer, should this still be a problem?
Transcript application is done online, payment online as well. Then you will proceed to wait for months and it will never get delivered. The wait is the issue, at the end of the day, you have to go to the school to grease some palms before they will process it.

Nigerian public servants are animals in human skin. The ones in government universities are worse.

So yeah, this is a common issue amongst all government universities in Nigeria.

Some people have died without even seeing their transcripts...

I personally don't even need any of my academic qualifications anymore.
I've figured out a way to survive and succeed without it.

All I need is my international passport and I've got it.

I Wanted to say you need a visa too but remembered you dont need a visa for Gambia, Togo, ghana...

Remove uniben from there immediately. I got my transcript within one week of applying for it. Although I didn't follow protocol.
Put AAU there in place of uniben.

its not about the schools...
was it not on this platform (during the doctors migration/ interview to work i Saudi) we were told about a secret memo from Abuja to all schools to delay and frustrate the process of issuances of transcripts to students to ensure a stall in the migration of young minds out of the country ?

Yes
That news came up here right after that Saudi recruitment of Nigeria doctors in Abuja last year

That was about August 2021, the FP was busy with white money, Angela, niyi, pere and bb9ja stuff that time....people didn't pay attention

Please how do I get it online? I applied for my transcript in UNIBEN since October even with the help of an "internal" to fastrack the whole thing, I am yet to get it. Infact, I am fed up. And I need it urgently. I had to tip the man to fastrack the whole process but I am not getting any result.
I applied in October too. I had someone who helped fast track it after paying, still it wasn't couriered. I have to send my dad to exams and records dept, met their boss and discuss with him, even tipped him sef. And my transcript got delivered in December.
I will advise you send somebody to exams and records to follow up.

That list is in valid if OOU (Olabisi Onabanjo University) does not top the list. Transcript can take over a year to process. If you don't go there with a lawyer and a tout, you stay longer.
The only school that frustrates students when they are in school and still messes them up after graduation.
ya.. you are right .. Those Academic staff are all sadist .

At Michael Okpara university of Agriculture Umudike in Abia state, a whole lot of us graduated since 2019 and we are yet to collect our statement of result even when we
had no extra year. Even those that had extra year are yet to be cleared.

I graduated there in 2016, they were able to collate and prepare result 2019. To collect transcript now hard pass 9ja itself. Someone will come and tell you that ur file is missing, as if it wasn't submitted to student affairs.
