Just like that, it's 7 years already! It's been rough! Very rough and tough but I give thanks to God. Life isn't always as we plan it... Life charts a different course of its own.
I have seen few folks doing ok with their wife (wives) and kids, I have seen folks who can barely stay afloat financially.

My eyes have seen a lot after NYSC. I have travelled far and wide with no roof just to attend interviews. At a point, I slept on the streets of Lagos job hunting and understood life the harsh way.

The last interview which I did and which got me this current job, I had to sleep on a bench in a market, and my bag was the pillow: because I got to the city around 11:52pm or so and my interview was the following morning. A City I knew no one in

An unknown folk in a known city earning sixty
It's a blessing
I can relate with the struggle, graduated at 21. Taught in a secondary school for 8 years earning 30k, upgraded to 40k and 50k over time. Did my PGD and MSc whilst teaching. Series of interviews all through the 8 years from Keedak Oilfield Chemicals to Notore..DPR, NNPC, Dangote Refinery, BIS Environmental company abuja, TGI Lagos transversing from one state to another. One disappointment after another. Finished my PhD in 2020 January. Got my big break in April 2020 with an oil servicing company, got a higher offer in July 2021 and left the company and the rest they say is history. Keep pushing and don't lose focus and most important of all trust God completely. His plan and purpose for your life will definitely be fulfilled.

Don't stop at your 60k job, do certifications, run programs. Aim higher. You can do it.

Trust me as someone who has been in your shoes and did what you did, you might think you are making progress but you aren't. That business you are doing won't even give you up to 100k in a month and there's very huge risk involved. There are graduates starting with salaries of 1.5 million a month. They don't have two heads. Better open your eyes before time goes by and you will start regretting.

Life in Nigeria is not easy, I thought after graduating my life will just blow but here I am, still looking for job, I have used all the little money I have to make and photocopy CV, update CV, write application here and there. It's well.

You mean you did not get one of the 3,000,000 jobs per year that Bubu has been creating as he promised in 2015?

Op I was actually in a reading mode then I choose to login to contribute. I graduated 2016 too. At some point I regretted not doing sciences as undergraduate because most of my friend find it easy landing a job ( at all at all)
After nysc, I had to go to my grandpa house in to stay to think and strategize. I avoided going to my parent house because those guys can make you commit suicide with pressure lol.
I job hunt, attend interviews, Apllied for teaching too ( I hate that job, but man need to stay afloat) none was promising. Finally I got one ( an Insurance firm) there was a salary at the interview, resuming work I was told it’s commission based lol like really I need to walk in the sun selling insurance to people that believe they are always covered by the blood of Jesus lol. I was depressed and I moved on.
I got a security job here on Nairaland ( I did it well and my employer asked me at the first meeting if I’m up to the task. I smiled, deep down I know I want more from life than just to relegate to the back seat ( while on the job, The HR and some people working there really looked down on me ( I learnt when you are a security guard people see you as a low life) . I felt bad at time and keep telling myself I’m never going to quit the job till things work out)
I saved up and traveled to my university to get my transcript and do all necessary things. I started applying for opportunities I got selected in South Africa but they later reached out to me saying the space is fully booked that I should reapply for next intake. I almost quit the job because of their first congratulatory mail. I keep believing and pressing on.
Finally I landed a prestigious scholarship ( things changed, currently chilling with the big boys at the ministry of external relations ( outside Nigeria). Make 1m every 3month.
When I return to nigeria. I plan to visit those places i have hustled left and right.I thank God for the opportunity. I’m not special I just found grace. For those still looking to find their feet I know the pain. (don’t fold your hands, it’s okay not to have a plan. But have the right people around you. People that will call up and remind you not to forget you are a lion. It’s a long story just have to cut and cut lol.

Your story is similar to mine and today, after NYSC in Kebbi,I relocated back to Abuja with the sum of 360k only.
Today,I have made close to 52million both in cash and assets within a space of 10 years.

It's one step at a time bro. No knowledge in life is rubbish. you might not be able to apply it now but you will definitely need it someday.

About you saying salary earners cannot afford iphone 13, that assumption is wrong and moreover, it depends on priority. Iphone 13 isn't a yardstick to ascertain convince or wealth.
omo school na scam jor. Ask Dangote e go give you clue.

if i had use the money i wasted on school to trade, i would be employing profs. by now.

funny enough, all the "find x & y" are not applicable in reality.

The soul is an immaterial and spiritual part of the human person.

They are intertwined and what affects one affects the other.

Think about this. What is the difference between a corpse and a living begin? The soul.

You are not entirely wrong or correct about your submission that everything is material and nothing like the immaterial.

The error most religious folks make is to neglect the place of material reality in favour of the spiritual, likewise scientists and/or atheists neglect the spiritual reality leading to so many abnormalities like terrorism, religious rascalities, neglecting to develop themselves etc . While the irreligious folks tend to lose the dignity of the human person since they do not see the transcendentality of the human person beyond this world.

The truth is that to live a full human life, you must live as if all that exist is spirit and as if all that exist is material.
