Look for a competent mechanic to go with you. Do you know why seller wants to sell?

What's the kva of the tech gen.
Wetin u dey use the gen for after a year don dey give issues.
Consuming too much oil, do u mean it shorts oil, if yes does it smokes, any oil leakages, what load do you use it to carry for every 5hours daily.
Also if u run ur gen for 5hours daily endeavor to change the oil every 2weeks

As for your mechanic he isn't truthful to you cos no tec original piston and ring dey outside especially those TEC wey dey carry tiny ring, there is generic of 7k and 20k own both won't last either or last more than 2months with your usage.

If you can't cope

Will only advise conversion to sumec which u will change shaft rod, connecting rod and piston assy

2.5kva
I'm surprised also. TV few bulbs and fridge. It was working fine with no issues until recently.
I will look into your suggestion. Thank you so much. I appreciate your response.

good evening Engineers.
I'm planning getting spg 3000 sumac gen.
These are my appliances ; 1.5hp inverter ac 1500w, 7kg front load washing machine A+++ 2050w, refrigerator 80w, tv set 100w.
I plan using the washing machine without other appliances in use.
Meanwhile, we always have eedc power supply 247.
I just need the gen as a back up incase of Transformer problem.
Will spg 3000 do the job?
Thanks....

Does opening the fuel valve half way to minimize full consumption have any negative effect?

And what could make little engine oil drop from the filter when and after use?

Opening the valve half way has no effect on fuel consumption.
For the oil, check if the oil tank is overfilled.

Good day GPtech,

I have two different generators, Big size and medium size.
The big size have issues that my mechanics advise to change to piston and ringing on it because it consume oil.
The medium size consume a lot of oil and puff out a lot of smoke.

I intend to buy half engine for medium size if possible the two generators. Pls what kind of half engine brand and model can I buy for both?

I have attached the pictures of the generators.

Thanks

Good day guys. I just got this generator and I see that no one has any review on it.
So my question, has any one used this? How good is it? And I also use it to power two small deep freezer for my drinks business? Hope I am on the right track? Thanks

It's a 3.5kva generator
Congratulations, you just might be the first to buy this gen here so we await your review. How is fuel usage, like how long does #1000 fuel run?

Will advise you use the money for the half engines to buy a new generator so you can have peace and also keep those mechanics away. Both generator sets don't look genuine. When was the last time you enjoyed using any of them?

you can buy half engine if you can get original OEM engine.

Half engine as I understand is the generator engine without the coil. I stand to be corrected

Good afternoon Sirs. I have a small table top fridge, 32 inches TV and a gotv decoder. I need recommendations on a good low noise and fuel efficient generator. Budget(80-90k).

Hello Engineers in the house.

I’m in the market for a solid generator with low fuel consumption and durability I can use for a 2 bedroom apartment for commercial use.

Major appliances includes:
- 1 2HP Inverter AC unit
- 2 1HP Regular AC Units
- 1 Wash and Dry Washing Machine
- 1 Pressing Iron

I’m open to both fuel and diesel options.

With all this requirement and assuming you want all loaded at same time..no low fuel consumption generator,

you will likely be needing 7kva -10kva Generator

you can consider the Senci Brand of Generators

It is petrol engine..they have diesel too but I just got the 17000 (10kva) for 450k .

It is cheap compared to other brands like maxi, sumec, thermocool with same power output rating.

Just started using for about 1 week now.. initially I feel the sound was too much( maybe because I was on a 3.3kv before and yet to adjust) but after changing the engine oil after the first 5hours of use...it reduced.

I will still give review as I continue using since most people have not tried it

Forgot to add

You can read more about the brand on the website

www.senci.com.ng

NB: I don't work or associated with Senci in anyway. Just started using the Gen and I feel it is a better money worth compared to others and it is a solid generator as well

Can this generator handle the workload if all appliances are working at the same time

Yes. It can. 9000 kw can power 3 non inverter AC and pressing iron conformably with all other common appliances.

It is the biggest firman in the market with 18.5 horse power(HP) engine

Greetings to the OP and all the great minds here who have been offering invaluable help here. God bless you all!

Please, I read on some previous pages that tightening the carburettor screw helps to reduce fuel consumption. I tried that on my generator but the noise/firing level increased beyond normal. Please is it supposed to be so?

Also, does loosening the screw (with spring) lead to the screw falling off at some point?

My generator is Sumec Fireman SPG3000

Thanks for your input and advice.

Please I got an elepaq constant generator about a month ago, and it hasn’t been given me any issues..
However, I changed the oil two days ago, though it seems I didn’t gauge it properly because there was leakage..
Today the generator started jerking and I put it off and tried to check the oil and I discovered that the oil has totally turned black
But no shortage of oil…
I don’t know if the brand of oil might be the problem or something else..

Guage the oil properly. Which brand of oil did you get? How many hours have you used the gen after the oil change?

Leave those screws as they are. Yes, the screw will fall off when loosened to an extent.

About 10 hours, I poured out the oil and put in Mobil oil, now it won’t start..
