Honestly, vis a vis Ghana, we have a much talented squad and should be able to defeat them easily. But, in rivalry matches, talent isn’t enough. Your opponents usually perform to their best abilities whenever they’re facing an arch-rival. The game is 50/50 because of History while 80/20 in terms of team talent. It might just come down to luck
This is part of why we lost to Tunisia even when they paraded a weak squad. Failure to play a weak team as a weak team. Rohr too had this silly problem and it affected us.

When you go into a match with unecessary rivalry mentality and so much undeserved respect for your opponent, you make the match much more difficult than its meant to be.

We need to enter that 1st leg with healthy confidence knowing fully well that we're favourites. We take the game to them and seal qualification in Ghana 2 nil at least. Their National team needs to be relieved from the World Cup so they can build back better.

Beating Ghana is not s foregone conclusion.

Without proper preparation and the best players we can get , it may end in tears.

And this utter arrant nonsense that's it's taking 3 years to get clearance from FIFA for a change of allegiance. Is simply absolutely not TRUE.

I really don't know why the NFF are giving this false narrative.

I don't know when this Amoo would be invited to the national team. He is fearless while on the ball. Full of energy. He is just too good.

When he is 27. Stupid administration

No hypes bro. I didn't say he is at the top yet in terms of ability or that we should call him up now......except maybe for cameo appearances while he understudies the SE big boys and familiarizes himself with the team.

Amoo still has a lot to learn. I'm happy he's in a place where he can learn and develop without pressure. He should avoid the top leagues for now and continue honing his skills. When he is ready, the world will hear his name.

What is he learning that Ansu Fati his younger brother haven't learned

The type of close control and football intelligence I saw in that Amoo video eh, I don't think i have ever seen it in any Nigerian player before. I can't even compare him to Okocha sef. Messi is the right person to compare him to. Dribbling with direction and discipline. I only wish to see Amoo improve on his shooting. If he does that, who be Mbappe? grin
Easy with the hype abeg.

This Amoo fella only looks a better version of Shaqiri- faster and with better dribbling skills.

He's still very raw, and there's alot to be done before he at least stand a chance with the likes of Mbappe

Why the players are not debunking it means they're in collaboration or the NFF isn't exactly responsible.

If I as a player for instance have applied for a change of allegiance and the organisation is delaying, I'll withdraw my allegiance and continue where I am.

There's no need putting in efforts where one is not be appreciated or where a cog is put in his wheel for whatever reason.

You know what?
When Rohr is appointed as Ghana coach, you can follow him there and enjoy his brand of football...

5 years in charge of the team and he couldn't build an identity... 2 weeks of Eguavon gengen pressing made the super eagles feared again! We were literally tipped as favorite to win the AFCON after just 3 games because people could see how good we became. One moment of misfortune against Tunisia won't change the fact that Eguavon gave us something much better than Rohr ever did...

Believe it or not, if it's open to a poll, majority of Nigerians will want Eguavon to continue...

I understand the fact NFF will be signing a new contract with eguavoen as the coach in the next coming weeks, he has the support of the Minister of sport and other ex internationals; so they will retaining him alongside Dr Terry and salisu Yusuf, but they're gonna be looking for a new technical director

Amunike is my pick for the technical director role if Eguavoen continues as coach.

well, I'm not part of the 'you guys' . Gnabry you mentioned almost forced a move. He was just breaking through the first team but his impatience made the club to let him go.

Feared by Tunisians that you got only one shot on target against.
It could have been 2 nil, if not for Ndidi, the same Ndidi that keeps saving us from woeful losses.
The fear factor has always been with the Super Eagles, because we are a football powerhouse in Africa
I am a fan of high pressing football, but i tell you that what we do with the ball on our feet will determine whether we win matches. Our composition of play is very poor, only individual brilliance can help us, but against a well coached side, we will fail.

I strongly disagree the right person for the TD job is either Seyi Olofinjana or Mike Emenalo

My brother, for Nigeria to stand any chance against Ghana, what do you think about extending invitations to these experienced players: Ighalo, victor Moses, Onazi, Joel Obi, Mikel Obi, Bryan Idowu, John Ogu. We need all the experience and ammunition we can muster. Our right wing, attack and midfield need a lot of overhaul!!!

I went through some of your posts and saw where u were praising the team when they were winning games before and commending the overall improvement of some of them.. Suddenly it's individual brilliance at play...
Fair weather fans like you can't be taken serious..

The fact on ground is that our performance has improved much better under Eguavon than it was under Rohr.. The team showed a lot of promise and can get better...
Rohr was given 5 years! Eguavon was given how long?
